Hi,
Where in Bkk can me and my friends find some younger girls? We are not talking illegal here, just a little younger...maybe 17-18-19?

Many in this age/category in certain thai areas, [ suphan kwai] but a bit dodgy if you dont know your way around and speak the language - I would think Thermae the best bet, as the can go in their at 18 legally, whereas need to be 20 to go into Nana/Siam 2, etc. Also some of the streetwalkers, especially outside the robinsons sukhumvit 19, look pretty young, but then again, be very wary anyone picked up on the street. Think without doubt Thermae - the younger ones usually hang around just in, or just outside, the rear door entrance -

1. Some Thai laws set the age of consent without parental approval at 20.
2. Some prostitutes have multiple ID cards and have got a scan going with some cops. Especially the streetwalkers and most especially the young lookers. A savvy guy might ask for an ID and she produces one that say, oh, 22 maybe. Off to the ST hotel or your hotel (if you are foolish). then P4P. Then 10 min later the girl shows back up with the cop (her partner) and the OTHER ID, which says she is 17.
A "How much money have you got?" scam.
So, you are priming yourself to walk right into this trap.
Variations of this (sometimes involving phony rape allegations) have been going on since the 60s. It was sufficiently common at one time for the #2 guy in the military junta of the day, Field Marshal Prapas, to comment publicly about it, as quoted in a book called BANGKOK AFTER DARK published by McFadden in the 70s.

That's quite correct, 17 is FLAT OUT JAILBAIT and 19-19 are a gray area, where conflicting laws apply, and we don't get to decided which law is to be used in case of a problem.
So the prudent thing is to always abide by the more restrictive one, stick to 20+ and be safe.
And uf she looks too young she probably IS too young.

And while you're at it. When you approach these younger females, you might want to ask if their uncle is named Sauron or Chateau Jade.
Because, even though a Thai jail is not a nice place to be, in my opinion, it would be a cake walk compared to what he will do to you.
And I'd read very carefully Saurons advice about jailbait and the Thai law.

I don't have any relatives streetwalking on Sukhumvit as far as I know, but anyway ABC's point is well taken.
The Thais just jailed one of their own Senators for banging a couple teemagers (with consent). He was sentenced to 40 years in prison. He'll die in prison.
Anyone reckon they will be cut more slack than a Thai Senator?

IF THIS IS TRUE HOW CAN WE EVERY BE SAFE THEN. I know of 16-17 year old girls in the gogos in Soi Cowboy.
Many girls 20-25 looks real young in Thailand so it is easy to go wrong. If you bring the girl to your hotel and the hotel staff accepts here ID then I guess it should be safe. Or should we ask for a written permit and a copy of the ID ?
Have you ever heard of a guy arrested with a 18-19 year old girl?
