My second to last night in BKK I found a freeancer in the parking lot to the Nana hotel, we went up to my room but she had to stop first and hand her ID to the security guard. All her ID consisted of was a folded up piece of paper, what kind of ID is this, I have never seen anything other than an ID card before.
Does this mean she was not old enough for big girls ID?

Bro, I have had the same experience with one of my steadies in Kata last year. She was quite young, but I do not know why she did not have a proper ID.

these girls probably lost their id's or got them stolen and reported to the police. so they simply showed the police report instead of the id!
some girls also might declare there id lost to get around showing their real id or real age!

i find the thing about the ID's is that the girls look nothing like the photo.
unfortunately my passport photo(taken 9 years ago) makes me look 10 years older then what i am now.
caused much merriment when i showed the girls.

Yup. Rarely does the females picture on the ID look like her. I see the ID as just a token security and age check method. I know many places asked for it, but it does not seem like they really check them anyways.

I think the worst are the TG passports... They all look so very serious on the photos almost like prisoners, while we falang always try to put on a charming smile!
