I didn't get it at first. After spending some time in the scene I'm getting pretty good at picking out the tell-tale signs of sponsored girls. Not really an accomplishment, just the learning curve. I'd say that 75% of my freebie offers come from them.
Of these girls about half tell me up-front about their sponsor(s). Bragging, gaining face or whatever. As for the rest just ask them about the most expensive item on them. My favorite is to read their palm and explain (visually) how most of my wealth has yet to come, but looky here miss BG is already wealthy. Then let her brag about so-and-so from where-ever and some insane # of baht.
So far (acting on the advise of many including some here) I have declined most freebie offers. Especially from sponsored girls. Experience and the adventures of youngexpat ( which sound too familiar) have me re-thinking before my next trip.
So when I tell some girl how I have to go and meet who-ever, where-ever and I GTG now. Then she tells me she like me, lonely, horny, needs a good f_ck and it's on the house should I say no? I can only imagine what happens when "freebiegirl" finds you hand-in-hand with girl #2. In the end, many girls have a same age Thai boyfriend and if they can do it...

where do they spend their free time ? doing what ?
how do you spot them ? physical make up ?
what do they look for in a serious BF ? ( non sponsors )
how wealthy are these girls ?
thanks in advance, also if anyone else has experience with sponsor girls their input would be greatly appreciated.

I think you will find "freebies" are more hassle then they are worth. I tell the girls, I'm a butterfly and if you see me with another girl to "be cool". One honey, Noi the mute girl at the Bamboo (BK old haunt) indicated she wanted to put another girls eyes out if she ever saw me with her again. 5 minutes later another guy comes in and I get dumped for him. I start to laugh to myself, women, who the hell can figure them out.

Difficult issue....but I think taking a freebie becomes easy to handle when she understands that she is NOT your girlfriend. I manage most of them with this approach. This is my personal experience, you may disagree.

Most Thai people can spot a BG from 100 yards away. I'll skip the BG spotting checklist, but start with the mental image of an average BG.
"where do they spend their free time ? doing what ?-
I seem to run into them three places. Thai style discos seem popular. Ironicly they often take the Thai BF along. I don't reccommend hunting here. Beer bars, especially during the daytime hours. I assume they get bored/loney and go visit their old friends who still work. Option 3 is working still in the scene.
how do you spot them ? physical make up ?-
First, they look like BGs. After that look for GOLD. Personal items are a dead givaway. One girl had a gold necklace with 2 gold wedding style rings and a gold crucifix. Look for engraved items too. If in doubt start asking a few questions, and analise the answers. Does she live alone in a nice place? Does she have a job. How does she know the entire bar staff. Stuff like that. The questions will seperate the "successful BG" from the sponsored girl.
what do they look for in a serious BF ? ( non sponsors )-
Normal stuff, outgoing, funny, smart, good looking, fun to go out with, and usually a similiar age bracket.
how wealthy are these girls ?-
I don't believe half of what they say but usually the "lower paid" ones seem less loyal.

i don't really have a problem spotting a BG but ive always pictured these so called " sponsor " girls dressing up similar to GTG's, now i know why i had trouble spotting them 
is there a special mall these girls frequent ?
how do you know when it's going to be a freebie ? do they tell you ahead of time or when you offer to pay after the session they decline ?

What's the difference in the way they dress. I mean how do the GTG dress and how do the sponsored gals dress? Does one group look sluttier than the other. Do the GTG dress innocent/virginal?

Asian Man- I'm sure that some sponsored girls do look like GTG's. In that case they would fall below my radar. Might be worth looking into if you can duck/run better than me.

If you suspect that the girl is "set up" AND you suspect that she is into you, you're in good shape. Remember you're in a hurry because you got to go to someplace cool, (insert place you think she wants to go). If she volunteers, great. If not go for the phone# or just eject. Just remember that you don't NEED her, if she shoots you down how many options does that leave?
