As I read thru the various post, I've come to realize that some member's are very trusting in regards to the BG's. They buy into the illusion of the Thai girl friend experience that they leave there guard down.
One of my regular BG, Pooky from the Flamingo Bar, soi 2, Pattaya was telling me about one of the girls who work's there long time. The BG is small and very pretty and slick. She will ask when you leave. If you tell her in the morning, she will steal alot of money and if you say I have a few days left, she will steal a few hundred from you. If she steals alot of money she will barfine herself for a week until the trouble blows over. Pooky told me the girl has made off with 20K and the most was 40K. Mamasan knows what going on but what does she care
Most BG are honest but YOU have to be carful.Except for my regular BG, I make the girls sign in at security I use the hotel lock box or in room safe for my passport, ATM, CC etc. I only keep at the most two days money in my room and when I bring a girl back there only one day's money she can make off with. I always make the girl shower first and then I will hide any extra cash. Ý5 days

Depends where you hide your cash too. Some of them are smart enough to target popular hiding spots. This stealing issue by BGs has been around for a long time.
For me I'll only leave enough cash for her service and if she steals it, too bad for her. ÝThere goes her paycheck and she won't even last a day!

Big D- LOCK IT UP. Had I heeded these words my second trip, I'd have not have lost:
1)Passport
2)Wallet
3)Driver License
4)Credit cards
5)Camera
6)Prescription Sunglasses
7)American Condoms
Yeah the condoms, pretty cold eh? My policy is no overnights unless it's all nailed down. EVERYTHING goes in the safe, and more than once I've rolled over to find honey rifling through the dresser.
The biggest loss on that trip though was the time spent at the tourist police, US Embassy, and ramblin around with the credit card company and bank, and western union. Am much careful now, and less trusting as well, fun is fun, but preparation is everything.

in my 4 years in thailand, i never had a problem with any stealing! and i have to admit that i even let the girls sleep in my condo alone while i am out working. i repeat i never encountered anything missing when i came back, except may be the dishes in the sink which i usually find cleaned and handed back into the cupboard!
but then again all has got to do a lot with how you treat this girls and also where you pick them up!
i usually never go for cheap freelancers from nana, beergarden, thermae or sukhumvit. i rather opt for the better quality girls from gogos or g-clubs. even in case something goes wrong with them (which never happened in all those years), i could always go back to the establishment they are working at!

Got to be honest never had a problem in the 4 years I have been coming to LOS.
As said I have often left the overnighters alone in my room while I perhaps go for a Morning Coffee.
They have always been there awaiting my return.
This does lead to you letting your guard down a bit.
I don't like letting my Passport and Credit Cards out of my Possesion so am reluctant to hand them over to reception and most of the safes in the rooms do not seem that secure and would be the first place any thief would target.
I probably hide my stuff in the usual places such as socks and shoes etc.
Not so much bothered about the cash it is the passport and credit cards that I wouldn't want to lose.
I did lose my passport in the Hard Rock Cafe in BKK once had to take it out to get some cash from an exchange went of with a young lady to the HRC. Half way through the night discovered my Passport was missing.
I informed one of the staff. Thought what the hell carried on drinking with a group of Thais (male and female)I was sharing my table with then a member of the staff handed me my passport back. Some kind person had handed it in. God I was happy just from the aggrevation aspect.
Did have a good night after that.

I always use safe or security boxes. If not available I have a good suitcase which I secure to something in the room. It is not foolproof but it deter or takes temptation away.
Even when I lost my heart to a girl I still did this eventhough she was with me all the time. Why take a chance ? You can always claim on your insurance but you can never regain the time you lose in the LOS sorting out the mess.
Like sex always take precautions or be prepaid to pay the price!
