During my first trip to BKK in mid April, I met a girl who I'd like to stay in contact with. I have her address info from her ID - another useful byproduct of hotel's photocopying them - but the address there is way up north.
If I tried to get in touch with her through the pool bar she often hangs out in - and I think some of the staff there know her - do you thing it likely they would pass on the message?

I say go for it. Get in touch with the bar and see where it gets you. It certainly can't hurt can it? The worst thing they'd do is not pass the message along. Then let us know if you managed to make the connection or not.

Good chanc in gogos, restaurants, beer bars where they work on a regular basis (well, kind of). Freelancers in their hangout - small chance if they are not really well known there and/or it is a bigger place. Thermae, Beergarten - forget about it.
Poolbar - it might work. Give it a try. Write her real name and the nickname (important cause that's what others will normally remember) on the envelope. Even if she's not working there anymore, a friend might pick up the letter and pass it on.
