I recently returned from a trip to Babgkok and Patang and must say that this forum was very helpful.
While I was visiting Bangkok I met an unbelievable young lady working in a go go bar. I brought her to Patong with me and spent the entire trip with her. I hated to leave her and am seriously considering bringing her back home. I know she wants to but how do I go about getting through the red tape? Does anyone have any experience in this matter?

Where are you from? Different countries have different immigration policies. U.S. would probably the most difficult to get into for a Thai girl, unless she was already married or if she could prove that she was gainfully employed in Bangkok and had a decent bank balance.

I'm from America. I have heard that it is possible to bring her over on a fiance visa abd take care of the marrige once she is here but I do not know the details. You kow any one that has done this? Maybe I can get some advice.

FRIENDLY ADVISE : I may be cynical but please consider carefully. I have seen many cases in PRC/China where the ladies would be absolute angels but turn nasty soon after they get out of country. Many dreams have been ruined! You do all the hard work and they get the rewards. Ý

I have not heard of the fiance visa approach, guess it could work. The ones that have been successful, used the marriage approach. I know of this girl who was registered to a marine, and she is now in the US. She even got a Social Security card. It wouldn't hurt to spend some more time learning about the girl.

So long as the girl has a valid passport from a "friendly nation" (as the US would call it) which allows entry into the United States, you are all set. Afterwards, a "couple" must go to the INS (Immigration of Naturalization Services) obtain a Green Card for the person who is not a US Citizen and you are on your way. US Naturalization takes a minimum of 5 years, in which the person must live in the US for that time. Money in the bank for the person requesting entry is not an issue staying in the USA....."that is what the green card is for", so long as there exists a US representative (i.e. boyfriend, etc.) for that person in which that person maintains a United States *address*. Such address allows obtaining U.S. Identification records, employment papers, taxes, and the like.
I guess it all comes down to the girl obtaining her own Thai passport first. From there the US has proceedures for 'assimilation' (I sound like The Borg)!

I understand how you are feeling. But before you take any further actions, can I suggest that you check whether it's the willy or the heart that wants this woman?
You can test this by simply get a hooker and do the same things as you did with this woman.
Sometimes you need to do this several times to be damn sure.

then you are in love;
else it's your willy that has been causing all the emotion;

I've got to comment on this one.
Two of my friends met and married Thai ( non bar ) girls and took them back to UK.
Both relationships went wrong and the girls are back in Thailand with their little pots of money.
I had Thai girlfriend for two years but managed to carry on with her in BKK cos my work takes me there regularly. But the demands for the "good life" in the west got too much for me and I had to quit.
I have met a number of the friends of my TG and, call me cinical if you want, but I did not see much difference betweem them and bargirls. Only difference seems to be that bargirls want your money tonight but other Thai girls are prepared to work longer and harder to get it.
I'm sticking with have and enjoy it in the bar and massage scenes. It's a lot cheaper in all ways.

Right, chaps,
my favorite massage place in Hamburg/Germany (HJs/BJs only - but excellent oily) is crowded with TGs that got divorced from their loving husbands, who took them home ... so there must be a certain tendency!
I heard it said, that they lose their shape and start trying to run your household in a commanding manner - that seems to be so.

Hi T-Murph a friend of mine brought a gogo girl from pattaya over a year and a half ago and he used an introductions agency ,he just said that he already had a girl and could they get her into the uk .he did have to go back and do the buddhist ceremony wedding but he didnt get it legalised and he has now married her in the uk.
