Hi to all you guys,you have helped me many times in the past and I really need your opinions on a very worrying matter.
My Thai GF really wants to get out of the sex trade and I am really proud of the fact that she has tried really hard to do so.She has told me that she is going to Japan on a 6 month contract to work in a restaurant as a classical Thai dancer.I have been looking at web sites since and they make me very worried.They say that often when the girls get to Japan they have their passports taken away and are forced to work in the sex trade until they have paid off a massive debt.
I am really worried after reading this and have tried to persuade her not to go but so far to no avail.I was wondering if any of you guys have information about this and whether you think my fears are not really necessary or indeed are.Thanks guys in advance for your views.

There is a chance of them taking her passport away, but it is not that high a risk.
In six months she will make a lot of money and will probably get some sexual offers too. The Japanese spend big time and it would be hard for a Thai bargirl who is used to getting maybe B1500 or so to turn down B5000+ from a Japanese customer.
Has she given you any indication as to how much she can make in Japan in six months?
If she is your g/f why would she want to leave you for six months? Find out how much she will make and offer to take care of her in the same way... assuming you want a long term relationship.
If she declines (or you do) then look for another pasture as there are many in Bkk.

Sukhumvit boy - Do you have any info on where she would be working? If it is in the Kanto region, with Tokyo at its center, I could check things out for you.
Any where else in Japan, if given a name of the company or business I could probably get some info on what is going on.
Depending on who is operating the business, I might also be able to get them to keep an eye on her as well.
A lot of things people hear about Japan is total bullshit. Even in Pilippina hostess bars, if a girl is caught going to a love hotel or sleeping with a customer she is likely to lose at least one month salary. Your girlfriend is probably safer here than she is in Thailand.

Met A flip here in Kuwait that once worked there in Japan as a cultural dancer. She said some of the Yakuza(spl.?) would snatch up some of the young hotties for GF.
