On my last, wonderful, trip to LOS there was one problem I didn't manage to find a way around.
Now I've found here, and am visiting again soon, maybe I'll find the solution ....
Picking up freelancers, at Nana disco as it happens, talk for ages as best we can and being shy I tend to leave it until the girl suggests maybe we want to move elsewhere (would be nice to sped it but hey, I'm shy).
Whenever I have tried to agree a price the girl has done the "up to you" sort of thing and refused to even discuss it. ŬIt's a little easier now as I know, through here, what the going rate is approximately, but I didn't then.
Even now, as prices differ, I'd like to know what a girl expects, that way there is less chance of one of us feeling ripped off the next morning.
Maybe it is just a freelancer problem, or maybe I've just been unlucky.
So, how do people handle it if a girl doesn't want to talk Bhat?

Difficult one ...
So many different things can happen ... giving them the going rate (approx. 1000 S/T ... 2000 L/T) sounds fair ...
Then again ... I've had some girls stay with me for a week or so without talking about money ... I usually give them 5000 - 10000 for a full week (including hotel/food/drinks/travel).

Up to you means that.
Give her what YOU feel happy with, whether its 1B or 10000B. ( not that I would recommend either of those two figures for a number of reasons. Personal safety and bank balance alert ! )
But if she wont mention a figure or doesnt reply when you are suggesting one then its more difficult to judge.
Some will be happy with 500, some 1000, some 1500. It all depends on where they work, how desparate they are, when the rent is due............
Odds are she does have a figure in her head. Its all a question of successfully fulfilling two sets of expectations.
Dont worry about it too much, just have fun.

I would say look i am off tommorrow..but have alittle spare cash. Hope 1000baht can get me there with you, then hold her hand and say if you very good 15oobaht ok..and laugh alittle like you think she is smart and above the lower rate..she will none the less put in a better effort and you have paid the decent amount to her

but also note the climate for 1000baht is exceptable in the case that you are truely broke...and she needs the rent....its always best to please them in order to be pleased well yourself .....you can with doubles get them fired up with a light hearted offer to tip the best one 500 baht...but in the end if both excel give them each that........anal anyone at mornings end both will either say yes or no... 500 baht more if no....ususally works end of night a 1000-1500 girl gets 2000baht plus everyone is happy

up to you girls IME are best dealt with in uneven numbers e.g. 900/1100/1400B etc. as 500/1k/1.5k/2k seems so 'clinical' & easily dissapointed!
also that way you guard yourself from the subsequent 'taxi' money request if she feels you low balled her or she is just plain greedy, but shy

IF YOU ARE LOW BALLING IE LAST NIGHT AND f_ckED FINANCIALLY if the date is 27th -end of month there are woman at 1am at themaes (dozens of them who will help you out) i once was so broke i got one for 500baht but she smartly gave it back only to get 3000baht sent two days later from australia as a thank-you...but i still think round numbers and taxi fare is ok if you got it.

and we both want lt ,I more than not up front
let her know how much she is going to get in the morning.
What I give mite differ from others but i pay 1k.
plus a couple of hundred tip in the morning ie taxi/food
money ect.

I agree w/ Bro' Chilli. But, I do it a different way. I sort out the money in my wallet I feel is appropriate (while she is in the shower), and put all my OTHER cash away in the room safe or something, and keep an extra B500 in the wallet w/ the amount I am going to give her. Then when I pay her (or when we walk out together), I open my wallet, and say "here's all I got, let me keep 500" (for myself until I go to ATM). That way if she is really not happy, I only have another B500 (that she can see) in my wallet, so that's it.
Keep in mind, I rarely ever lo-ball the girl on money. I just am trying to guard against the greedy girls (who base their expectations on the fact that I am staying at a 5 star, and that I have B10,000 in my wallet) who ask for more after I pay.
