Although a newbie to this forum I have been reading it keenly for weeks and think I have explored almost every major relevant topic to my query/advice request.
I have just returned from my fourth trip to BKK and for the firs time (for me) met a girl outside of a GG Bar. Whilst I am a comparitive novice to LOS, I am not at all new to the P4P scene in Europe mainly but also Tijuana etc.
The girl I met is I assume a freelancer on a PT basis at least, we met in the new Gullivers. She is 25 and tells me she owns a laundry business. I have developed fairly strong feelings for her in the relatively short time (less than a week) we were together, but wonder whether this situation could ever really develop further in a positive way. This is the first time I have ever felt this way about someone who may well be a working girl.
Some things I think may be positive signs were that she never asked me for money (although I did buy some very expensive presents which might amount to the same thing), she often paid for things, especially small things, she introduced me to members of her family and friends (which I assume would tend to mean that she risks losing face if this is just a one off kind of thing/arrangement, although i picked up the tab for dinner etc).
Some negative thoughts are: -
How did she manage to get so much time off work at short notice (she says she arranged this with her sister), I met her in a bar building a reputation for increasing numbers of freelancers and the fact that I would never normally allow myself to become emotionally involved with any girl in the p4p business.
I would appreciate any thoughts, wisdom or smartassery that regular forum members can give on the subject of "is there any kind of future in this?"

Alright, don't read too much into meeting the family. It would be a big deal if the feelings are genuine on her side, but it's meaningless if it's a scam because they're in on it, too. Means nothing.
There's as much future in it as you want. Whether that also means as much future as you can afford is something only time will tell.
You want advice on what to do? Stay in touch with her and wait for the email that asks for money. If you get it in 2 or 3 months, there's your answer. If not, you've got a shot.

the ones who are looking to hook a sponsor (as opposed to cash on the barrel P4P) are very dangerous and expensive - but they have upside also because if they really fall for you they are generally smarter and more sophisticated so adds to potential for lasting loooove connection

Any Simpsons quote always identifies the bearer as a higher form of life. My brother is a musician and kind of a wierdo but one day for about two hours I observed him and his band having a detailed and informative discussion composed ENTIRELY in simpsons quotes. And the conversation had nothing whatsoever to do with the simpsons. For guys who smoke a phenomenal amount of bud they had great memories. I haven't laughed that much more than a few times in my entire life.

EWO, that's funny. I had a girlfriend in college (way back when) who went through a phase where she'd talk about everything in terms Simpson's episodes now matter what you were talking about. It worried her a lot but she eventually got passed it. She was a chemical engineering student and extremely intelligent.

What the problem? When you know that she stay in her "work place" just give her a call and try to meet her there.The best hours is morning.If she honest,she will be happy to see you in her work.Thai girl never miss opportunity to brag with her farang boyfriend.If she will bullshit you like: "I'm busy" ot "I'm leaving my work place soon,let's meet in another location" so you will know that is fake.Honestly I think she's lying,but we never know.I REALLY HOPE FOR YOU THATS SHE'S NOT.
Another great option check her mobile dialed or received numbers.If you will see farang names-it's bad for you.Some of my friends found out by this way, their GF had another BF or sponsor.

Thanks for the advice rami, I will give this a go when I am back in BK next month. I too am a bit of a cynic but also sometimes a hopeless optimist, as you say you never know.
Since I am in the midst of a split from my wife in the UK (predating my recent trip) maybe I am probably not thinking rationally right now, but i expect time will tell.

I didnt say I wasn't interested in p4p ladies, I have had much fun with p4p girls worldwide, but would never have thought of becoming more attached to anyone of them (including those on my past visits to thailand), so I find myself in a very new situation but one which doesnt seem that unusal to other brothers here.
Of course I know she is a freelancer be it pt/ft or whatever, Im not totally wet behind the ears - or not since I came back from LOS anyway 
Yet knowing this I still find I have feelings for her and care more about the future than what she does/did in the past/present, hence the title of my post.
