Walking down Soi4 last Wednesday night at 2am I had the urge to check my emails so I popped in the internet cafe opposite the Hilary Bar. I logged on and then realised something was wrong, somebody had used their hotmail and not logged out. Of course being naturally nosey I had to look and to be honest I was quite stunned.
It was a girl who worked opposite in the Hillary bar and she wasn't just emailing 1 or 2 guys with sob stories for cash their were literally dozens of guys in contact all thinking their tilac was only thinking of them and a lot of guys were sending her money too. Not only this she had opened an account on 'facepic' no doubt looking for more suckers.
Some of the emails were quite heartbreaking as I knew they were being had over by this bitch and unfortunately the red mist took over and I replied to a few guys telling them to be careful and what they were dealing with.
Now I don't know if I was right or not as it was none of my business really to interfere as everyone knows of the dangers of getting involved and sending money to bargirls but I know if it was me and someone sent me a mail warning me then I'd be grateful.

I personally don't like self-righteousness, and don't approve of meddling, but it's hard to argue with the laissez-faire of what you did. ÝThe girl MUST learn to log out! ÝLosing a few of her chumps is a small price to pay!
Really, although many of us have been there, actually believing that you are God's gift to this BG's life, and that she is waiting, and living on 10% of what she makes in the bar, just because you are so wonderful, is a BIT MUCH!
The scene in Thailand really shakes loose all the neurotic tendencies you have been hiding all these years. ÝThe weak ego, the narcissism, the repressed anger...a few thousand baht a month is less than decent psychotherapy, and, in a Darwinist kind of way, probably pretty effective: you will either eventually wise up, or shoot yourself in the head. ÝEither way, the world's a better place...

Brilliant!! So there's your answer Roland - your interference has helped block the evolution of the species.
Many (if not most) of these guys are in love with their fantasy, not the girl - and at a paltry B10k a month, it's a dream which comes pretty cheap. Now you've gone and put your hoof right through it, they can go back to their joyless, hope-free lives. As thaiprivateye has often pointed out, a lot of these guys don't WANT to know. At any event, are they babies that they require your assistance to conduct their personal relationships with other people?

I have made more than one offer to people who are sending money to girls (so that they don't work bar, don't see others, etc.) that when I am in BKK, I will be glad to go to the bar, see if the girl is working, buy other girls drinks in the bar and find out what their "girlfriend" is up to. ÝNot one of these guys wanted me to do this, they "knew" that their girl was not working
One friend said "yeah, check it out, but your wasting you're time, she won't be there." ÝI walk in, she's dancing. ÝI tell him what I saw, he tells me I must have been mistaken and got the name and number wrong. ÝI was not mistaken. Ý
Frankly, it seems easier for the guy if he doesn't know. ÝI didn't fully understand it before I had been to BKK many times.
If I know someone has sponsored a girl so that she doesn't dance, I go to the bar to check it out anyway. Call it curiousity. If the guy didn't want me to tell him if his girl is still there, I do not tell him.
Anyone who wants me to go watch their "ex-BG" dance, let me know. Ý555 Ý I'm headed out in a few days.

I agree with you. If she's stupid, nieve or forgetfull enough not to log off then whatever happens to her account is her own fault. Sounds harsh, but she will learn the next time to log off.
I also agree with the rest of you post about the myth surrounding the bg's life and Ýthe affection / love they might feel for us and the amount of money they need. ÝYes, there are always exceptions to any rule, but for the most part I think most "working" females have plenty of sponsors and if not are looking for plenty of sponors because for the most part, it's all about the mighty $$$.

If we take Mr Haam Sup's Darwinist approach, then we should indeed tell the unfortunate victims, as this will improve the BG breed by removing the less competent.
The BG's best suited to the environment are those that are both careful and the most convincing, which in turn will serve the victims, as they most certainly want to believe that the relationship is genuine, so both parties are well served.
Personally, I would refrain from telling the victims, not only because I too do not like moralists or the self-righteous, but because I could not anticipate the consequences.

Quite often, the farang "victims" are "willfully ignorant" of their fate. They are the ones who assure Chicago Guy that the go-go dancer CG is drooling over (and soon to be short-timing) is in fact not their ex-BG, but a look-alike. Best to keep the head in the sand, makes life less stressful.
After you've spent a bit of time in the Internet cafes around town, especially those off the beaten track where the BG's live (and get 10 to 20 baht/hour rates), you begin to enjoy the chicanery as they indulge themselves in front of the CRT's. Usually a couple of ladies at a terminal, with one who is more internet savvy showing the other lady the ropes. And lots of giggles. Okay, maybe I have a twisted sense of humor, but I find this entertaining. And in a strange way, rather endearing.
I can't control a human being who is halfway around the planet, nor do I have any desire to. She's there, I'm here, and that's just the way it's going to be awhile. Of course, I'd ask CG to check on my TGF, but he already knows she doesn't "work lady bar" anymore, right?

Greetings:
I would like to clarify that I would not personally send out messages from another person's email account.
I would instead put a reply message so any incoming mail would get an autoresponse saying "I'm a player and only want your money" and I might delete all the emails and delete all the addresses in the contact book as well. So next time she logged in, her account might be empty. Or better yet, I might just close the email account.
I know that's splitting hairs.
