I find that the situation is as was for thousands of years natural...Thai girls want something, their pussy, charm, subserviance and grace will earn it.....as men woman have manipulated us. that said, hanging in LOS is about differences. Some of us can get happily laid back in faranglaand. Travel to LOS is a matter of perception. We get a different in your face attachment from TGs. This short term endearment is unheard of in most parts of the world.
We try to impose our own sense of order on this foreign laand. Most human beings have a desire to think they are in control of a situation. Generally we feel more in control of those who defer to our wishes. Therein lies happiness.
Does this make any sense?

I understand that this is certainly not the attraction to everyone, but keeping myself in "control" is a big part of it for me. "Up to you" are three of the sweetest words you can hear (along with "dai"). It means that I have control over what, where, whom. In LOS, this type of world exists more often than in the west, and it is an exhilerating feeling for some. In the west, I have control as well, I just have to work harder
It's also why it pisses me off to no end when Nam changes plans to see me at the last minute, NanaHottie drops off the face of the earth, or some TG lies about me behind my back. These things interfere with my control of the situation.
I imagine I am not alone in this feeling.

The perception of control is a very important issue in farangland, more of the leadership itself...
We demand the boss status, we are satisfied to be surrounded by yes-men (and up-to-you women), while some of us is not even aware that in reality someone else is leading the whole situation...

I was speaking exclusively about the sanook/sex environment. My views above are not applicable to (and are quite different from how I feel about) any work environment in the west or LOS.
