While this may come as a shock, I'd like to thank God, or maybe just human nature for creating inequality, I want to thank ourselves for the subconcious social darwinism around. Please bear with me.
A few days back (Friday night here), I went on a first date with this nice (not beautiful by any standards), but nice girl. Being the perfect gentleman, I obliged this girl since apparently she found me cute and asked her friend to hook us up. Well, being a man (21 y/o) and having some woman (even if not the most beautiful) be interested in me is extremely flatterring.
Anyway, we go on this date, I pick her up, present her a boquet of nice not to mention expensive flowers, take her to a fancy restaurant. We eat, chat, me being as witty as possibly, being charming and all. Anyway, she seems to be responding, she is touching my hand etc. We decide to share a desert  It comes, and trying to be gentleman like, I take her dessert spoon and was going to "feed" her a little bit, you know, like in the movies? I have never had a problem with this before. She suddenly freaks, she tells me in a harsh voice, "I can feed my self." At first I think it is a joke, then I realize it is not, I immediately apologize, smile and say I was just trying to be a gentleman etc. etc. Anyway, I let it slide and we are laughing and talking, she keeps on talking about herself, and I do my best to ask interesting follow up questions. She seems to be eating it up. So after dinner, while walking to the car, she holds my hand, (note: I did not ask her to), while dropping her off, I say good-night and give a little peck on the cheeks. She goes berserk. I say whats the problem? She says it is against her morals to kiss on the first date. I say, "relax, it was just a friendly peck on the cheek. Its not a full lip to lip kiss. Anyway, whats so awful about a peck on the cheek." I ask her clearly, "why am I so repulsive? Whats the problem? If I am repulsive, just tell me." She says that I am nice and good looking, but apparently her f*cking morals wont allow her to be intimate with a man until she knows him well enough. I say, "ok, I get that, but a simple peck isn't really a kiss, its just a sign of friendship." She starts yelling and I understand that either I am a pervert or she is a psycho and I apologize again and leave her and go. Needless to say, I am furious on her and my mutual friend who set us up. What a waste of nearly $100. I don't really care for "scoring" etc, but I do care for nice behaviour. Anyway, lo and behold, she calls me a today and seems surprised as to why I haven't called her and when are we going out next. I told her in no uncertain terms, that, sorry, you are not my type, I like women who are calm and like to have a fun-time and are more morally flexible. She mistook what I meant and started yelling on the phone that, she understands that I am like all other men, only looking for loose women and am nothing but a pervert. While in my mind I was shouting yes, YES, YESS, I told her that is not what I meant. Anyway, that's that.
Sorry to all you readers for having to go through the boring stuff. But in a way, I realized something...
Thank you God, for creating inequality, for creating poverty, for creating the LOS night-life. Because, to be honest, no matter how good-looking you are, no matter, how smart or rich you are, the chances of you scoring the quantity of hot babes in your life-time is maybe 10 or 20 without the LOS scene, and 1000s with the LOS scene. So, thank you God, for creating the inequality in wealth, in social stutus, in man and woman. I hope it never stops.
... yes, I know, I sound like a jerk. Maybe I am, but I am sick of being lectured (shouted on) by a rather plain looking woman on my morals.

Mmmm... I am worried that you doubt my existence, and that you lean towards a very liberal interpretation of social Darwinism.
However, I could not agree more when you say that P4P is a very good thing. I have read many times that the average number of partners that a Western man has in a lifetime is around 14. For women it seems to be 4 to 6, so both sides are probably lying. Whatever the real number is, it is clearly not enough, and barely a snack, and hardly worth counting, in my opinion.
The World would be a better and more entertaining place if some women did not put such a high price on their sexual favours. Oh, praise be that I should receive such a precious gift !!!.
Your observation regarding plain women and their capacity to moralise, is of course politically incorrect, but correct enough for most of us, I think. We all know the type - I may not look too hot, but I assure you that I have a great personality (not like those pretty girls ).
Then again, perhaps they have neither.

So let me get this straight. This woman is a psycho because you decided to take it upon yourself to give her a kiss ( Doesn't matter where ) without asking her for her permission to do so first and she got upset about you taking away her right to make that choice. Wow! I see your point.
And if that wasn't bad enough did you actually just thank GOD for creating poverty and inequality and for putting the women of LOS in the position of having to "rent" themselves to men in order to make a living for themselves and their families  .
I honestly can't think of any possible way to respond to this any further ( And that's a first for me ). Peace

I look like sh*t warmed over, have no personality to speak of, have accumulated no wealth, get turned down as often as the next guy and yet I still don't get why some folks on here choose to despise women of any financial worth or the slightest reluctance toward sex with strangers and who are lucky enough to have an opportunity to choose what they want out of life. What a pathetic thought it is that we should take advantage of poor people simply because we can.

While CN was bound to get flogged for couching his argument in social Darwinism, I agree with one of his basic premises: dating in the Western world is a lot like wrestling with a porcupine. I simply don't do it anymore.
I would much rather spend the rest of my days with a genuinely sweethearted lady who is struggling simply to get her G.E.D., than the multi-degreed women I have dated and lived with in the past. I am happy to be accepted by my current lady for simply being who I am, without the pretense and baggage. IMHO, things have gotten seriously out of kilter in America when a friendly peck of the cheek is greeted with unbridled rage. There is clearly a problem here, and I don't think it's CN's behavior. For example, he wouldn't have gotten this response if he had done this on a first date from a lady in Europe. This kind of response is a peculiarly American custom -- last I checked, they usually greeted me that way. I think the lady in question needs to grow up and learn some manners.

I am afraid your age betrays your knowledge of women, which seems limited. Just because you pay for sex, does not mean you are experienced with women.
The $100 is the cost of education, not the evening out.
All you talk about is your feelings about the date. You do not talk or even seem to know that maybe the girl was really stressed having a 'date' in the first place.
Simple fact is you guys were not compatible. That's all.
By the way the "inequality in wealth, in social status, in man and woman," seems to leave out 'intelligence'. In your case, your lack of, as related to the lives of women.
You need to spend more on 'education'.
Women are a life long study. And your still in grade one.

For the record, I don't subscribe to the idea that poverty is good because it generates the opportunity for P4P, nor do I deny any woman the right to reject a man's advances. I object the idea that women's pursuit of pleasure through the medium of the 'relationship', is any more noble than the man's desire for simple sexual gratification.
I am evangelical about P4P. Not only do I think it should be legalised, but vigourously encouraged. When a man tells me that he has never paid for it in his life, I think 'poor fellow'.
Women are less promiscuous than men because it is they who become pregnant. On the other hand, men don't care where their seed goes, as long as it goes somewhere. A simple biological fact, that can be accommodated by P4P. No moralising or karma is necessary.

Relax all. I guess it is my fault to use the lowest form of wit even in these forums. To spell it out, the lowest form of wit being sarcasm. I was ranting on how unfair the world is and how sad life is that the only way we can "Score" is because of the world being so f*cked up and their being poverty and inequality. And you guys couldn't see that. Oops, I should have known who reads these posts. Peace.
Just to spell it out: The tone of "thank you God" should have been clue enough. If I am not mistaken, the tone is one of disgust and not of "hoorah God, you da man". I guess you guys read everything like robots and miss to catch the tone. My fault really. I apologize. Next time I'll remember to say it like I was saying it to a 5 y e a r old.
