Sometimes I get fed up with Up 2 U, hello U welcome,you wan dink?am hunglee,want sleep,u wan make love (well that one's OK),U good heart,no have munee,have problem buffalo,family go hospital no have munee, etc etc etc etc etc etc
I have met perhaps one or two good (enough) English speakers. My Thai is pretty basic = "mai bpen ATM!"
Now the 64,000 dollar question?
Are there places one is more likely to meet a better English speaker ?
Or no?

Why don't you make an effort to learn Thai and use it exclusively? That solves the bad English problem, right?

I find BG english to be quite possibly the best way to communicate.
It is simple and to the point without any fluff like this.
I just wonder what they mean by 'my flen me' because it seems to have a few variations each of which boggles my simplistic french mind.
'My flen you'/ 'You flen me'/ 'Me flen you'....it's all a bit much after a few beers.

'my flen me'
translates as:-
"that's my friend but I call her my sister. She has no money so I give her some so she can buy a mobile to ring her sick mother. Now I do not have money can you lend (give) me some?"

I know Spasso quite well it's a mate's (teacher) favourite haunt.
