How far will girls ìCommonly ì travel to get back to your hotel?
Is there some unspoken rule that you should get a room near the bar where you picked a girl up?
I know some people like to be right in the middle of the action  but Iíd like to get away from the noise. After all it is a holiday?
Iíd like to tell you how far away I mean; but I donít have any info to go by and it depends on each go. But Iíd like to get a feel for the situation.

GB - If your staying in Bangkok, you can travel in about a 20k radius, and still be in the city - you will never totally get away from it, and just increase the time/hassle/expense of being stuck in a taxi for 2 or 3 hours, to get to pick-up areas like sukhumvit etc. If you want the TG, plus some solitude, I would look at staying in Sukhumvit for a night or two, finding a freelancer you like, beer garden soi 7, Nana or CM2 disco's good places to look, - and then taking her off to Hua Hin/Cha Am, Bang Sean or somewhere, - all beach resorts just a couple of hours from Bangkok - when your bored with her, come back and get another one ! With regard to the original question, if the girl is either keen or desperate, she will travel as far as it takes, they can always take a bus if they are short of money, or else will hit you up for an extra couple of hundred baht for a cab -

First time in Thailand I did not know ANYTHING at all, stayed on Khao San road (mistake) and made it to Thermae one night. I met a very nice FL there and agreed on a price but when she realized where I was staying would not come with me.
I ended up going home alone that night.

Stayed on Khao San road my first time(mistake)- didn't know about this web site and waisted more that just time.
Then went back and Stayed on Khao San road. But never again

- often Girls won't go with Guys when "Khosan Rd." mentioned, because they know mostly backpackers, who live in cheap guest house's, and dont want to pay much, hang out in that area .... not that this is always true, but its what many TGs assume.

I suspect many might disagree but I think it wouldn't be ideal for 2 reasons.
1) The BG and/or yourself might not feel very comfortable as you are rather likely to get at least some glances if not outright glares. Some girls might feel shy about even attempting because of thier own feeling that they should be embarrassed.
2) Some girls might think it a bit low class or cheap. It's funny but true that that sort of thing can actually have minor effect on a girl's perception of you and potentially affect the kind of experience you have with her.
In fact both factors I mentioned might have an impact on what kind of time you have back at the room. Sometimes every little thing counts.

Well with that in mind I guess the rest is common sense.
I don't know why I didn't think of this one before.
Tell her where it is we are going and ask her the best way to get back there. Most likely a taxi; but as you said every little bit counts at the end of the day.

A taxi is the way to go, it is not much more than sky train if you are paying the BG's fare too. A taxi from soi cowboy to Nana is approx 45Baht ($1.20 USD correct me if I am wrong), a small price to pay when you consider what is at the end of the ride.
