My TGF have been contracted with HIV virus.To certify this,I have took her to Chao Phraya Hospital during my last visit there.And the doctors have assured that she is HIV positive.I have posted about this whole story previously.Now,i feel so sad and confused.Sometimes,i feel like losing my feelings toward her after knowing her for nearly 2 years.Should i let go and continue with my life?...What can i do to please and support her??...i hope everyone in BKKTONIGHT can give me some advise based on what u guys have been through in Bangkok lifes.

my only advice i can offer is what would i do in your shoes. Once i'd got over the initial shock, sadness, grief and countless other emotions i would no doubt experience, i would then try to think positively and spend time thinking what to do next.
Then of course you also need to think about your girlfriend. If say it was me who had contracted HIV, would i want my girlfriend to suddenly leave & never contact me again? Of course not, but maybe i would accept that she might want a family and maybe find another partner, but to just 'up and leave' would no doubt hurt her a lot. So, i would maybe accept her wanting to be just friends - Ýbut i honestly couldn't say unless i was in that given situation.
This is a very difficult situation to broach & everybody is different, and my best advice to you would be to talk to a counsellor and decide on your true feelings.
Also, let's not forget that people are now living 10 - 15 + years after contracting HIV, and on a very positive note, a cure may be found by then!

I have no advice to give, but I'll say that it is hight time this reality comes up on the forum, on-line , real-time. May the discussion on this topic, Ýon this thread never end.
Guys, we all need this wake-up call, the confrontation, the challenge, to our light-hearted fun or Ýsucked-in love for TG's. What do you do? The party is over, the hurt is only feelings, but HIV is for real. Ý
I thank you man, for posting this on the forum and it's an opportunity for reflection (and personal growth? -
hell, I am getting metaphysical here) for the rest of us.

Definitely harsh, Jay.
I'd endorse bangkropolis2020: only YOU know what to do. ÝIf TGF means someone you love, you should see it through. ÝThen again, if that were the case, you wouldn't be asking a bunch of strangers about this extremely personal (and painful) issue.
Whatever you do, you will have to live with it, not us.
I wish you both the best and hope you do what you find to be the right thing...
