ok, we have all been there... sitting around the hotel or apartment and then the knock at the door... why it's the maid coming to clean your room. As you sit there most likley nursing your hangover at 2 inthe afternoon watching t.v., you give her galnce... then it the thoughts start to run through your mind... hum..... why not? So, have you done it? How was it?

Whether you have done it or not, it is considered extremely bad etiquette in Thailand to f_ck your maid. This is different from say HK where, it seems, everyone f_cks their maid.
In point of fact, a common Thai insult is to say something along the lines of... 'and he even f_cks the maid'
So call me a snob or whatever - I have never done it

No, I've never done that, even though on one occasion it did cross my mind.
There was this cheerful maid at Zenith Hotel in BKK and she seemed to be wanting to do up my room either when I was there or just come back to it. She was very friendly & chatty and would hang up in the room, just a few seconds extra, looking at me as if waiting for a cue from me. Every time I walked past the corridor, she would pop out her head from a room she was cleaning, just to say hello.
She was from Isaan (a small village near Mahasarakham) and sensed my predilection for petite, slim and golden skinned women - she must have seen a few coming in & out of my room.

After a two week stay at the Westin Chiang Mai, a friend of mine with lucky enough to f_ck this "hottie" maid. He went back 3 months later to findout she was no longer working there. Again, after a week at the hotel he tried with another maid. This time the maid ran out of the room. Five minutes later he got at call from the hotels manager who said, "sorry sir, you can no f_ck this maid."

Not maids so far (my house cleaneer is a about 50+ and >60 KG !!) but I do have a tendancy to hit on far to many good girls...
Just yesterday I nearly ran foul of my ways... It was time for my 3 monthly fluids check (HIV) and so I go to the hospital instead of the clinics as its done in 1/2 hour..
So the nurse that comes out is cute and has really nice eyes... I make her laugh... Joke around a little.. I am sure she is giving me a flirty look so start to think "f_ck it.. Go for a phone number" and just before the words come out my mouth I realize... YOUR GETTING A HIV TEST YOU IDIOT !!! Not the most ideal moment to be hitting on a GTG !!!
I just smirked at myself which she saw and gave me a 'what you thinking' look... I shook my head and stayed silent... When the test came back all clear (Wo Hoo) she was no where around !!!

(Have been insulted in much worse ways than that!)
One fine afternoon, resting up from a heavy night, in comes cute maid who immediately starts a most friendly/personal conversation:
"How long stay hotel?.I off tomorrow..." etc. (hint,hint?) winds up telling her young life story while making up, that she would like to learn English better (hint, hint?), cuts finger while straightening up (only one little drop of blood), nevertheless comes over, places hand in mine, looks directly into my eyes (hint, hint?), and asks for bandaid which I gladly apply after a dab of iodine.
Exceptionally grateful (hint,hint?) - but there's a problem Houston. TGF due back in an hour - most likely to come back early just because... (TG paranoia - with some justification?).
So I let it slide (damn - definitely was good to go). Playing it all out in my mind far too many times after, it suddenly occurs to me (Eureka!!!) that I could/should have asked if she had an empty room on the floor that we could use ST. (Damn, damn!)
Oh well, anyhow at least there's an Action Plan in place now for next time...
