IMHO I think that thai girls change a lot when in the uk, change in the way that they become more independent, yet more big headed, I agree not all want to come here but the one's who do rarely want to go back. i'm in los more than them then they tell me yea but you can you've got money, yet there here making it in the uk and they don't. just a thought.

Dont know about not wanting to be back in Thailand..
Living all over Mainland Europe and UK (even extravagantly) with my Thai girl and she always wanted to be back in Thailand even if it meant living cheap in a small house etc v living large with fast cars and flash hotels.
Also dealing with others expat Thais in European community I think the majority wanted to return but financially or romanticly were stuck where they were.

Agreed, ALMOST all Thai's want to stay in Thailand. As said before they really do not travel well. This coupled with language and/or culture barriers is destine to doom most relationships.
However, most realise that they could not enjoy the money at the level that they get it in a foreign country vs. home and are willing to make sacrifices, but most will not be happy campers and after a while you will realize that you now have imported the hagging wife that you were trying to avoid getting from your home country.
So the best advice is to arrange your details so you end up back in Thailand at some point in time.
Yes there are exceptions to this, but they serve only to prove the rule.

this is not exlusive to fems either.
I know a group of 30 guys who went to work in UAE, Thai Guys
and 10 came back within 45 days, and that was sacrificing an expat wage which no one (Thai) scoffs at...
