I had 3 options for a TG girl who stayed with me for the duration of my trip. I had a figure in mind for a total to give this TG as payment so I thought of giving her 1/3 of the payment by buying her gold jewellery and 2/3 in cash.
So we go shopping for Jewellery, when we get to the shop and see the prices, things change.
Now I have 2 new options 2/3 for jewellery and 1/3 money or spend the whole lot in jewellery, so I put it to her, if she want the more expensive jewellry I give her no money, she said buy the more expensive jewellery, so I did.
I asked her later why she didn't want any money, she said she'll spend it on clothes and things which she doesn't really need, would this be true or is it just status with her friends at the bar?

there is truth in what she says.
as gold has still some souvenir character ( well, she will sell in 2 secs if she has to) and she will not spend it as easy as cash money... of course she enjoy the enviuos looks of her fellowBGs as well...
BTW this also works for me, the less THB in my pocket, the slower it drains from my pocket...

This girl is clever and she probably told the truth. Another thing that is true, she will be able to resell the gold jewels later at a higher price! In case of emergency, of course!!!!

PS: In fact, I also had a regular thai girlfriend who asked me to offer her a golden jewel for her good services over a period of about 3 weeks. She chose herself the jewel and as she has been very reasonable, I also gave her some cash...
Oh, I forgot to say: one of the most important jewel that I have later offered her is a wedding ring!!!

Well the trip hasn't ended yet but her room mate (who I am also friends with - not sexually) asked my girl to ask me if I could give her money to pay their rent for the month which is 2000 bht and 1000 bht for electricity and water. I quickly changed subjects, I leave this afternoon, so I'll have to wait and see what else she does.

Well I'm now at the airport and she didn't ask for any extra money, I paid for her taxi back to Pattaya and that was it. Now, I just have to wait to see if she still has the jewellery when I go back to see her.
