As reported in today`s Australian paper,the AGE.
A German is believed to have deliberately infected more than 450 young woman with the HIV/AIDS virus in Thailands northern Chaiyaphum Province.
The one legged naval veteran is in jail for overstaying his 30 day tourist visa by three years.His non-immigrant visa had expired in 2001.
Hans- Otto Schiemann 56 who has lived in Thailand for nine years said he went on a sexual rampage after testing positive to HIV/AIDS in 2001.
He would cruise in his car looking for young groups of people after school and offering them the equivalent pf their parents monthly wages to have unprotected sex.They generaly agreed.
His core prey consisted of young girls 15 and older."They sell their children here " he said "the only reason I`m in jail is because I had sex with a policeman`s daughter "
Schiemann who was living off a German disability pension had also offered loans to poor people for use of their daughters.
Aspokesman for the German embassy said Schiemann had been detained for overstaying his visa but the embassy was not aware of other allegations.
The deputy head of the provincial police station,Kampol Nonuch said that under Thai law Schiemann could notbe held for deliberately spreading the AIDS virus " look we have him on visa charges,but we want to make it much harder for him that....if we let him go he might just end up in Cambodia.Laos or Burma and keep spreading this desease" he said.
The public Health Ministry wants Chaiyaphum young woman tested for HIV,regardless of whetherthey have had sex with Schiemann.Local hospital staff had posted more than 2000 warnings about the German urging girls to have blood tests.In response to the appeal 66 girls had tested positive out of a town of 30,000 people.
"We dont know how many people he has infrcted,but its somewhere in the vicinity of 400 to 500" a health official said.
Schiemann`s common-law wife,Noi is dying from AIDS and has allegedly suffered several violent attacks by Sciemann.

So how long did they take to find that out? Have they traced these girls back and did Aids tests on them?
Maybe he had contact with 400-500 girls, but then only probably a small fraction is really infected.

This is largely conjecture of course but....
I get checked every year for piece of mind and last time out the Gynae doctor, in the UK advised that unless you have some broken skin, cuts, abrasions etc the chances of contracting HIV via unprotected vaginal sex from an infected partner is 1 in 500. That is from a mans point of view. Not sure about the other way around. Which probably is why the whole world is not infected now.

No, no. Why create a mess? A.22 is much more interesting. Send it in through the eye socket (hypothetically, this would be an execution, right?).
As the.22 can't penetrate the skull, it simply bounces around inside the cranium, pureeing the brain as it goes.
Or so a friend of mine always told me.
On a variant note, I was chatting with a mamasan from Chaiyaphum last night, and asked if she'd heard the news about the German guy in her home province. She didn't seem to know anything about it, and I didn't care to explain the story.
