Say your prayers for the folks that lost lives and loved ones. While at temples, light your candles and burn the incense for the spirits that were accidentaly washed away.
Please contribute $$$ baht to the Red Cross, Mercy or what ever matching relief funding your work gives to the disaster victims countries. Bros lend a hand in times of great need.
Were real lucky bros, cause it could of been us on the jet skis, ridin the scotters, in the coffee shop, or strollin on the beach with are lover's that we wernt swept away and racked up and drowned in the 9pt great tsunami.
I pray for the tsunami victims to make it through this holiday chaos that mother Earth inflicted.
Be safe Bros, Be good to others, and dont be a Cheap ass when someone ask for a helping hand both physically, spiritually, and financialy.

God dammit Bush !! get your head outta Iraqy sand and go lend some real money $$$ say 1 billion, cause 15 million aint gonna cover the powdered milk, cereal, water, meds, and shelter these people need for many months to come.

Give It Up Now !!..... I just did, to the tune of 10,000 baht matched 1 to 1, dollar for dollar, by my company Intel Corp. to make 20,000 baht.
We already lessened the burdens as a company to 4 million baht right off the bat.

Give dammit !! No matter !!

...I pray for SE Asia and SE Thailand...

if you think Phuket is in SE Thailand, I think you'd be better off with an atlas than a prayerbook

and all your humanitarian palaver smells even a little more like sewage when you refer to the women who might have lost their lives while strolling on the beach with you as "P4P"'s...

StrayGypsy:

You were doing fine until you went after Bush like you did. His initial offer of aid was $15 million, which has now been raised to $35 million amid promises it will probably go much higher. In addition, he is sending the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force to Utapao and two US Navy carrier battle groups to the area to assist in any way possible.

By comparison, the EU has promised $4 (yes, four) million, with Germany pledging $1.4 million and France giving the magnaminious amount of $130,000 (yep, Martha, one hundred thirty THOUSAND). Canada has managed to come up with $1 million and the UN has come up with nothing more than some high priced executives telling everybody else how to do the work.

And,before you jump my case, I donated individually also.

Sometimes it is better to look before you leap.

Sorry, this link points to a french newspaper, but it explains that after a 3 million euro which already was sent by the European Union in order to cover the immediate and vital needs, the European Union will provide a 30 million euro aid (around US$ 40 million). France and Germany belong to the EU (so they contribute for a good part of this amount) and France also sent medications and people there in emergency.

Anyway, instead of fighting about the figures, we should all do our best to help those in the need according to our means.

Should vacationing president have spoken out?

He is on vacation *again*. Just like the MONTHS when the intelligence about Al Quada's intentions where flowing in.

My God, this man is stupefying. As are all the people that voted for him.

But I guess that is what happens if a man who cant pronounce two correct sentences after each other is elected commander in chief.

Utterly staggering.

Just my European opinion, of course.

I made a couple donations to the Red Cross and Unicef, but I didn't think to ask my employer to match. Good idea.

Sure, I don't consider my life easy. That's part of the reason I travel to LOS, but in all honesty I have it a lot easier than most Thais do. Especially Thais who have lost what little they had and now need whatever they can get.

I consider it an honor to help out when I can.

As for Iraq, well, if we didn't have most of our armed forces wasting their time (and blood!) over there then mabye we could do much more to help. Iraq is a f***ing mess of wasted resources and huge mistake. I'm not afraid to admit it. Iraq will probably be more of a recruiting tool for terrorists than anything else. Those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Get ready for 911 all over again. And to those who disagree, I say put your ass where your mouth is!
