Following story speaks for itself: http://www.pattayadailynews.com/shownews.php?IDNEWS=0000008897 Thai media does not report any deads and above story claims censorship....? If indeed there are deads among the red shirts whom were shot by the army, this is not going to end soon or in peace. I fear BKK will burn (and I read already the use of Liquid Gas Tanks on trucks getting into certain places). This time someone overdid it. It wont end like 1992.... So called Elvis will vanish IMHO and his house burned. Hope I am wrong.... but one thing is clear to me and that is its not the time to go there (have canceled my trip next week). All over stories like that, example from Yahoo news: http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090413/ts_afp/thailandpoliticsprotest Ap.-

I think apollo may want the focus taken off the other thread in which his capacity to grasp the Elvis discussion was severely limited.... and bloody hilarious.

Yep Elvis is alive and well ! He's currently on an Anti-Extradition tour in Dubai ! He often seen at the Dubai Hyatt Karraoke Club singin: Suspicious Minds We're caught in a trap I can't walk out Because I love you too much baby Why can't you see What you're doing to me When you don't believe a word I say? We can't go on together With suspicious minds And we can't build our dreams On suspicious minds So, if an old friend I know Drops by to say hello Would I still see suspicion in your eyes? Here we go again Asking where I've been You can't see these tears are real I'm crying We can't go on together With suspicious minds And be can't build our dreams On suspicious minds Oh let our love survive Or dry the tears from your eyes Let's don't let a good thing die When honey, you know I've never lied to you Mmm yeah, yeah Black May 1992 Armys Concert for the Drought !

This thread is for evidence where killing of Red Shirts happened by citing other sources/news. Just that. You do not like do not read. Flaming me is not what this is about and wont help because I do not care about what you think or say. The situation wont be solved by Elvis or by any other elite in such a simple way this time while there are killing of people by the army. Ap.-

Apollo, Don't mean to enter into a fight over taking sides on this issue. But you seem to make it appear as if rioters getting wounded is "shocking" as if you expect government to sit idly by and let them have the city to themselves ? The government was only doing its duty -- belated as it was. The gloves are now off. Blood will flow. Therefore don't take to violence.

Not wounded but killed and being lied to the Thai people. Yes when any person dies it is shocking. Remember the PAD? When the previous Gov tried to use teargas (made in China which exploded and killed 2 PAD people) there was a big cry (justified in my opinion) on that Gov and all got shocked (certain high level Thai people visited those PAD wounded in the hospital etc - do not want to repeat what you know). Certainly something is wrong here and without taking sides (I am not Thai and do not know all the facts anyway) it seems too easy to remove an elected Gov by various means (semi "legal" such as finding a "corruption" charge for previous prime ministers, ranging from "influence" on sale of land to "cooking lessons on TV for pay"... ). Now do not tell me you also think all is fine and Thailand is the Land of Saints (LOS) ? So just reporting here the other views of deads and shooting to kill... maybe repeat of the 1992 but in discrete form (not massive killing). Obviously this is not going to end. What next? Army stays in BKK forever with emergency state declaed? No solution here other than elections (again with their own flows) and the circle of violence will repeat (either PAD, Red Shirts, or whatever next). Ap.-

One person has died in violent clashes between troops and thousands of protesters in central Bangkok, the Thai government has said. Thailand's army chief says he'll used "whatever means necessary"... http://tr.youtube.com/watch?v=3xjLZYtGo0I Tip: click on HQ tab for better video quality. Clearly showing soldiers aim straight at people not shooting "in the air" as claimed before by Thai Gov/Army... out of these shooting you think no one got hurt by live bullets? How one can think of sanook when seeing this? Ap.-

Propaganda. As simple as that. Claiming the government started the violence in Pattaya. You'rve having a laugh. (Not to mention Thaksin's interview on the BBC.) The red shirts have lost all credibility. Even locals in Bangkok are now turning against them. The BBC just a little while ago (2 AM) said that there are still no confirmations of deaths. Except for the two people killed by RED shirts at Nang Lerng market. Personally went to some hot spots today, and the army has been handling the situation very well. Not reacting to provocations from the REDS, just doing their job. The REDS however have just been out trying to cause chaos, and destroying things. For the good of the country. Yeah, right.
