despicable action by a Government Official (but should we be surprised at what any politician does?).
lets hope she receives her original medal before she arrives back in BKK.
it will mean so much to the Thai People if she is filmed disembarking from the Plane with the medal.
i don't know how much the Thai Royal Family can get involved,but if I was the King or Queen I would order that she is taken straight from the Plane to their residence so that they themselves can congratulate Polsak.
put a bit of shame on the Government......

Using a search engine like google is a good start.
But if you are lacking the exact street address, I am sure that if you address your letter to them, even without the actual address (I am assuming you want the address to write to them and not to rely on a map to go by foot and pay them a visit), the post office will find where to deliver it to.
Just write their name, title, city and country. For example:
Thaksin Shinawatra
Prime Minister
Bangkok, Thailand
or
His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej
Bangkok, Thailand
Believe you me, that is all the Thai post office will need. I am sure they know the address.
Or are there other reasons I am missing why you want the actual address?

Nope, you pretty much nailed it - I just want to voice my opinion about this despicable way to treat an olympian who worked her ass off for her country - and how her current gov't repays her, with greed and lack of tact. (I'll use nicer wording).
I just wanted to get an accurate address, just because I'm a stickler for those things

Letters will go out tomorrow. Also found out the address of the local embassy - I'll be faxing those in as well.

You see, many do not have the original imagination to know what to write. Perhaps some of us then, after seeing your letter, may feel inspired to do the same using yours as a guiding example. Thanks in advance for showing us your letters.
FM, yes her dad said that from now on (after the murder), he will not be throwing more parties for the strangers that show up at the house to congratulate them. Instead, he will only have lunch and dinner for those unknown people that are showing up. Quite a generous way to treat strangers. Pity some kill themselves.

Meanwhile the prime minister yesterday dismissed Deputy Prime Minister Suwat Liptapanlop's claim that Udomporn Polsak's gold medal was brought back from Greece at his request.
"Why should I want to see it, when I already saw it on TV?" Thaksin said, adding that Suwat had told him it was Udomporn's wish to have a replica of the medal cast in solid gold.

You know what? I actually believe Thaksin in that case, as this action seemed so much more what a lone butt-kissing politician would do, than something Thaksin would order. Thaksin's no idiot.
I have a feeling that Suwat will soon be re-org'd.

Too bad local vendors Pepsi and Coke had hood war at her house upcountry. Feel sad bout the bloke who passed during the shootings.
Good for her though * )...all that work lifting daily won her a gold medal in the Olympics....She'll be proud for the rest of her life.
Hopefully she gets good media agent and cuts off idiot ties to anyone tryin to rip her goodwill talents off.
