I was in Phuket, June 2003 walking along Bangla Road arm in arm with a lovely young BG who I took LT for 3/4 days. Walking by the Australian bar, I think it was, a woman's voice said " Be careful." Just that, nothing more.
I looked back over my shoulder and there was your archetypal Farang woman of a certain age, sat at the front of the bar overlooking the street with her downtrodden looking hubby.
I had already passed by them and only then thought about what I should have said to her. That I was 55 years old, ran my own advertising business, was well educated, from a good family background, well travelled, etc. What gave her the right to poke her nose in my affairs and to make assumptions about my knowledge of the risks involved in P4P?
But then I thought better about going back and giving her an earful. I consoled myself with thinking that perhaps her hubby had faked a headache, or Delhi belly, given her some dosh to go shopping whilst he convalesced in the room. Once the coast was clear, he'd probably dashed to the nearest bar or massage parlour and had his end away. If she arrived back at the room to find him gone, he'd tell her that he felt much better and had gone for a walk.
If there really was a God, then he'd have caught the clap and passed it on to her!
I consoled myself with these thoughts and that I was with a lovely sweet girl and he was with a crabby old trout, poor sod!

Why punish the poor man, when he's already punished enough, and SHE was the one talking? Are you sure she spoke to you, though, and not some advice to her hubby? Besides, wish him to stay clean, so he can have many more escapades, and get some momentary happiness 
Yeah, I know the look of 'if only I'd know about Thailand before I got married...'
