Yes, the one and only member I've met, a real obnoxious creep, nothing I won't say right to his face, just my opinion, maybe he thinks that of me, I really don't care, I've met plenty of friendly people on my trips
I know how to pay 1k, and have, but I have 'special' requests that I don't mind paying more, like a L/T time Devils Den or Eden girl, even Soi 6 for the right girl

Back to the original topic, I have never experienced anything where a girl made a threat of any kind to me. I have on rare occassion gotten into a discussion about value for services rendered to put it politely but have permanently solved that problem by always agreeing price before leaving the bar.
The funniest situation was when I took an regular out for a short time and gave her the money. She has been drinking quite a bit and I had already decided no more with her in the future. We got outside and she suddenly told me I had not paid her. At first she was polite but when I kep telling her I had paid her she got quite loud and obnoxious right there in the street. I finally got her to look into her purse and told her how much money she would find folded. She pulled it out and apologized and then about fell on her ass walking. No more with her.
Unless you are with a drug crazy or a mentally ill girl I think its likely that a gun only came out in a public place for an offense bigger than a disagreement on how much was paid for service. Maybe this was a drug debt, or theft or promised money that was never given or cheating when he promised she was the only one. I don't know but I don't think most girls carry weapons of any sort. At least the ones I have been with are pretty likely to leave their pocketbooks sitting on the couch when they shower which assumes they think we won't rob them. I thinking if you had a knife or gun you would be careful about leaving your pocket book unattended and the clothes most of them wear would not allow them to hide the weapon on them. When I bring a new girl to my hotel I am always careful with my belongings and what is out and what is in the safe. I only have enough money to pay her and have the rest put away. I have always marveled at how trusting they are at leaving their stuff out.
Anyway, I ramble on. Sorry, the point is that I suspect there was more going on than simple pay for play disagreement.

With a girl from a soi22 bar once, standard tiny size (5'0"/92lbs) and sweet enough personality. We were at Country Rd and saw a girl I had been with before, we only silently acknowledged each other but she would cut her eyes at my soi22 girl all night. Finally soi22 girl pulls me aside and tells me that girl keeps giving her dirty looks and if anything "goes down", she is ready for action, she reaches in her pocket and flashes me a set of brass knuckles!
Had to smile and chuckle at that one. The night ended with no problems, although I was on my best behavior and slept with one eye open.

It is important to remember most of the P4P girls' origins: peasant or working class. So it's not surprising that many have a "thug" or "might makes right" mentality and are willing to fight at sometimes a slight provocation...I mean, just look at the scrappy nature of most of the Thai guys from the same social background!
Also, while probably 80-90% of working class/peasant Thai males have studied some kick boxing when young (plenty to kick most of our asses, I assure you...haha, especially since they tend to fight 5-1 or 10-1, with us in the minority!), I'd estimate that as high as 40%--maybe more?--of the girls from these backgrounds have had some muay Thai training as well. Do your own informal survey, you'll see. Interestingly, the girls are often taught by their fathers, who know what kind of thugs and drunken women-abusers the average Thai man is!! And believe me, you do NOT want to be on the receiving end of a trained kick from the muscled peasant legs of some of these girls...
And of course, in keeping with the thug mentality, many of them wouldn't think twice about picking up a weapon in a fight, either. One time I was sitting at Sukh Soi 13 at 3 or so in the morning with a semi-regular whom I thought was fairly docile. She was having a very subtle (or so I thought) disagreement with a girl sitting across from us who had plopped down to chat (another one of my semi-regulars). As it was clear that the girl on my side of the table was getting mildly upset with the other girl, she ever so gently reached over and picked up an empty Coke bottle on the table, and slid it slowly toward her until it was in her lap...she was actually ready for their discussion to come to blows any moment, and was arming herself!! Unreal.

Bro Vox : the fact that in a fight it would be our sorry ass VS 10 thai guy is a fact for sure. But 90% of the Thai guy having knoledge of Muay Thai is pure and simple a legend, maybe they brag about it when some farang are around and some people are gullible enought to trust them, but your average tuk tuk driver is far to be a fearless warrior with iron arms, really...
I saw more than a few time thai guys "chicken out" of ridiculous situations that most farang could handle with no problem at all, but again of course in a fight against a farang it is one farang VS every thai person in sight so they feel brave indeed!
Now about the girls, my experience is the exact opposite of yours (not to say you are wrong, just we seem to meet a different kind of girls), I found out that most TG are clueless about self defense (i actually taught several girls about how to defend themself in case of a problem with a taxi driver for example)

Yesterday I got a bad experience in pattaya by the way :
i arrive by bus and take the baht bus to go walking street, then once in the bus some singapore guy ask me how much I pay, I say 20 baht, he get all exited because the driver told him 50 baht, then he ask me to show me where he is on his pattaya map, so I do show him, then he stop the bus, argue with the driver and leave him with 20 baht...but then the driver start screaming at me calling me crazzy (because apparently this singapore guy hotel was faraway from walking street and the 50 baht chage was fair...what do I know about this?)
then at the end I m alone in the bus and buzz to get him to stop, he accelerate and then brake like a madman so that I go crash in the back of the bus, then after I throw him his 20 baht asking him what is problem is he try to run me over with his bus, actually running over my foot and percuting me badly with his bumper and runaway honking and screaming!!!
Lucky I did not get hurt badly, this driver was clearly insane and is a real danger...
This is how you get yourself in a bad situation in thailand doing....nothing!
