This was like a scene from a Hollywood movie at least 100 rounds of high powered rife shots into the car and no one dead??? Besides reports are of not a bullet to the head, but a piece of metal from the car hit his hit from a bullet shot.

Who was behind the killing of 2 "residents" in BKK? Angry residents? Gov agents? Red shirts? Here is a thought... Remember the "Blue Shirts" whom were spontaniously organized (and all decided to wear blue...) in Pattaya to fight the Reds? Up until that time there was a quiet protest and no escalations. Well, lets review the Blue Shirts and what happened with them. According to the pictures and info here: http://bangkokpundit.blogspot.com/2009/04/what-about-blue-shirts.html You can clearly see these are not just simple merchants worry about their business (remember than until that time, the Reds just held a peaceful protest... no violence). In the first picture, clearly a hand gun is visible (cut and paste and magnifiy if you want see it clearly). Also, remember that the Gov has allocated one billion Bhat to weaken the Reds movement. This can take many forms, from acting as reds to make them look bad, through payments etc. What if the Bangkok residents were actually Blue Shirts type and the killings were caused by these? I mean from both sides, those who had the fights with the Reds and those who shoot in the public... Here is the story from above link (in case it is one of those webs blocked...) : What About the Blue Shirts? Posted by Bangkok Pundit | 4/16/2009 02:00:00 PM Have already blogged about the links of Newin to the blue shirt crew and with Newin's arrival at Pattaya on the weekend to commander them the links became clearer to see. Not only were the Blues armed with wooden and metal rods, but at least one gun has been spotted. From Bloomberg: Then you have video from the pro-Thaksin internet TV Channel which shows the blue shirts mingling with the army: BP: The Australian's Peter Alford has raised Newin's role, but there is little other coverage about the blue shirts. h/t to a commentator for the links. ==== It has also videos from the blue shirts and reds fights... something does not look right here... but this is Thailand... so do not look at things on their surface. Then as you recall, two men found dead in the river.. Police said it was a case of robery of their motorbike... yes sure... Another one of the Reds died from Army woonds in hospital - no mention of him... waiting for more... but we may not know it... We need send our objective and unbiased resident board reporter (visitingbkk) to investigate first hand... Ap.-

Thai movies industry is very busy these days it seem. After shooting 100 bullets all over using AK47s indeed strange how is it they could not kill him. Unless this was a show to make Thais think how evil the Red Shirts and Thaksin are. As well as perhaps be used as an excuse to get the PAD militarized back and attack Reds. I can say that PAD and democrats are much better coordinated than the Reds... no wonder as they have BKK elite and business, army and police and the Palace behind them. Huge resources and smart media (which they also own...) to pain the picture they want to. The rural uneducated have little chance to fight such a war. Remember the 1B Bhat allocated to make the Reds weaker? Here is such money at work... TiT... amazing thailand Ap.-

Quote: from koolbreez on 4:28 pm on April 17, 2009 I would have been perfectly happy to let Thaksin do his thing, but when he started closing the bars at 1:00am that was the last straw. I made a few calls, supported a few causes, and now the bastard is out of there. Mess with my mongering will he.
I understand your selfish viewpoint. Indeed it is also in your interest to keep the uneducated rural poor be as they are, and keep salaries low and all... so you can enjoy Amazing Thailand... Ap.-

Army chief Anupong Paojinda on Friday said he would bet his life that no protesters were killed From: http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/politics/140854/army-chief-says-no-deaths-in-crackdown Army chief reiterates, no protesters killed in crackdown By: BangkokPost.com Published: 17/04/2009 at 05:02 PM Army chief Anupong Paojinda on Friday said he would bet his life that no protesters were killed by troops during the military's suppression of red-shirt rioting in Bangkok this week. His repeated assertion follows the discovery of two bound and gagged bodies in the Chao Phraya river on Wednesday, said to be two security guards who told their colleagues they were going to join the anti-government protest and were not seen alive again. Gen Anupong said there have been continual attempts by the government's opponents to twist the facts. He repeated his earlier affirmations that no-one was killed when his troops dispersed the protesters after a state of emergency was imposed on Bangkok. "I would like to confirm that not a single life was lost during the military operation,'' he said. "Soldiers did not use violence against the protesters. I dare to confirm that. "I bet my life on it," he said. Official records show 135 protesters and members of the security forces were injured in the clashes. Two people died in the Nang Loeng area in clashes between red-shirts and residents. Red-shirt leaders later claimed several protesters were killed during the crackdown and that soldiers took away and disposed of their bodies. No families have yet come forward reporting people missing. The army chief refused to comment on the attempted murder of People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) leader Sondhi Limthongkul on Friday morning. It was a criminal action and crime could occur whether or not a state of emergency was in force, he said. Once the emergency is lifted, the soldiers would return to their barracks, he said. ===== Hummm really strange... so why just have "two bound and gagged" bodies dead in the river... someone try to take their motorbike? Yeah sure... ""I bet my life on it," he said." Trouble is if one wins this bet he cannot claim the winnings... this will kill the general! LOL Ummm what happened with the one red shirt reported dead from his wounds by BKKPost? That report got "forgotten"? So you lost the bet now please pay... Ap.-

Actually it was in Thaksin's best interest to keep the rural poor poor. The way to cheap exports is cheap labor, and Thaksin in now way wanted to raise the wages, or social standing of the rural poor. If he did that, being the phd trained businessman that he was, Thailand would no longer be competitive in the world labor market. Wages raise up, foreign business's move out. It happens the world over, and Thaksin was fully aware of this. His loan programs to the poor were just coming into fruitation when he was ousted from office. The rural poor were just about to default on the cheap loans, and foreclosure was just one year away. The current gov't has forgave the majority of those loans so the rural poor didn't loose their land, becoming even poorer under Thaksin's scheme. You operate so joyously under hearsay, and fabricated oppinions. It would be interesting if you could actually deal with the truth, or even have the (sic) intellegence to pursue it......lol. You have to be in the running for the biggest troll award this year, no in the history of this forum. You have my vote as troll of the year.......here here. From: http://www.nationmultimedia.com/breakingnews/30100716/Pue-Thai-claim-2-missing-11-injured-in-army-crackd Pue Thai claim 2 missing, 11 injured in army crackdown on red shirts Pue Thai Party's centre for missing protesters claimed that it received complaints that two people went missing and 11 people were injured during the crackdown. Party spokesman Prompong Nopparit stated during the press conference Friday afternoon that the two missing persons were a Roi Et man and a voluntary doctor who lived on Ladprao road. They have disappeared since night of April 13. There were 11 people complaining of being injured. Some were hit on the head while some others were shot, he claimed. Most of them were attacked at Din Daeng intersection, he said. Moreover, Prompong also said that a victim filed complaint with police at the Bueang Kum police station, but the police denied to accept the complaint. The spokesman denied to reveal identities of the injured and the missing persons. =========== Well if the police denied to accept complaint then of course no one was killed and no one is missing...
