Hi,

Can't start a new thread so I'll have to ask my question here.

The "red shirts" were suppose to hold a BIG rally NOV 28th But now have postponed it from what I hear on news reports.

My question is does anyone have a guess on when or if these rallys would be held and more importantly would you let these rallys stop you from visiting Bangkok/ LOS??
Do you think these rallys could pose a problem for tourists like the "yellow" rallys last year?

Thanks!

No change here really, business as usual. Just don't wear a bright red or yellow short whilst wondering the streets

I don't think the rally was ever intended to go ahead, the point was to suggest it, wait for the government to slam it as anti monarch because of the kings birthday and then for the supreme commander (Thaksin) to request the rally be postponed out of respect for the King, simply a publicity stunt to help gain back some support.

Also, the rally was only supposed to be from the 28th Nov to the 3rd Dec, so why was the ISA imposed until the 14th Dec ? Perhaps because the government are already aware the protest will actually be held later than first announced.

JMHO.
