Perhaps the forum should have a new section for Nightlife-related Promotion, ads, announcements, etc. I know, I know, you could put these in the classifieds, but that is filled with other ads that are unlike this "announcement".
It might be a place to post info about any special events or parties. What you think, BK?

Self promotion is allowed via the use of signatures. If you have an announcement of an event, post them here, in the News Section. If you'd like to promote your services, post them in the Classifieds section. It's here for that reason.

This rule states clearly that events should be posted in the News Section.
Why ask for something which is already in place? Perhaps some of the members (especially newbies like Happy Twat) could revisit the 'rules' page.
Although perhaps an 'opportunities' section wouldn't be out of place perhaps. But then again BTF is an information board and not an opportunities board.
And finally a word from the Darth Vader himself:
'If you find the rules boring fine or if you can't live with the rules, just leave! Seek life elsewhere!'
