just for the record the change with the visa on arrival in Indonesia was basically a protest at the fact ' Indonesians cannot enter the Netherlands with a 30 day arrival visa. As Indonesia is a Dutch colony they started this to piss the dutch off and to earn money.
visa's for anyone from indonesia to holland are expensive ' not free on arrival '
as far as I remember uk was exempt and only certain countries who openly have been anti moslim were included.
either way its not a big hassle I was at the thai embassy here a year ago plenty farang getting long term visas.
So it has more with inequality if were true I would imagine. which I doubt.

Well gents, it is just a little bit late to now start complaining about the spreading of the bible and whichever faith you choose to follow.
The good word has been spread far and wide for centuries before you came along and will be for centuries after you are gone.
As I have said before. I am not really against what you do, just how it is done and the ramifications of it for the people involved. I just wish you could think about what you do a little beforehand and the lives it affects.
I was once a young buck that lived the wild ways and thought mostly at times for my little head. But I have changed and now think more for my fellow unfortunate human beings.
It is a double edged sword in here at times I feel, who should be saved, the girl or the lost souls such as Dirty Guru and Wowser and their kindred souls.
I agree with Baquawn, asian culture is not western, so please leave your western attitudes for indifference and lack of respect for others at home.
I am listening to the loud shrieks of abomination from Baquawn, I feel that in person he must be the ideal role model of a sex tourist. After all, those that bark the loudest as they say.

Hot off the presses in regard to the visa issue. I can confirm that you are correct in the exception being granted to those over 50. However, at the same time Thailand will make the production/distribution/possession of vitamin V and similar substances against the law and will be classified the same as narcotics in regard to penalties associated with breaking this new law. In addition those over 50 will be subject to random searches for such substances not only upon arrival but for the duration of their stay here in LOS.

Most of us are in full agreement with you and Baquawn in regard to the cultural issue. This is certainly one of the reasons we visit/stay her. I mean just think of the horror we would be confronted with in the west if we presented the idea of mia noi? Yet it is part of the culture here long live Asian culture.

Well it isn't just the dutch who need a visa and includes muslim countires but currently the dutch cannot have a visa issued in indo on arrival, UK citizens can have a visa on arrival but now they have to pay $25 us for a non renewable 30 days whereas before it was 60 days for free.
Indo still offers the old deal to countries which offer it a similar deal, Thailand being one of them so if you take your TGF for a holiday in bali there is no visa fee.
