Yo,
I certainly hope this no liquid thing blows over before November..............I hate to think about my flight to BKK without 1 or 2 bottles of wine in my carry on.
The flight attendents are always slow getting drinks.... (I should add I get happy and/or sleepy when I get drunk, never ever loud or obnoxious)

Actually....that's a good point....
What is happening to duty Free sales at LHR?
Can you still purchase?..after all, wine purchased air side should be OK.....or not?...imagine the effect on businesses at the airport.

Yeah, a business colleage had his luggage misplaced for two days. He went out to buy a change of clothes. Even Thai large size underwear was tight. Later that night he went to Baccara. After a lap dance, he makes an emergency run to the toilet. I thought it was from the curry.
He comes back relieved and says, I just ripped of those underwear shorts and threw them in the trash, I thought they would kill me by cutting my blood circulation.

A BBC report seemd to suggest that in the UK No booze, perfume or other liquids could be purchased for US bound flights but on flights bound for eleswhere it was OK.
Also remember - no duty free sales = higher ticket prices.

Airports and worldwide governments have known about the liquid/solid/gas issues; potential explosives since it happened in 1995 on an inbound USA Pacific flight where a Japanese traveller was killed by same.
Since 1995, Since Scotland's Lockerbe, Since 911, since, since the frickin age of flight warfare began ! there can be potential explosives that suicidal idiots set off killing us innocent travellers on multiseaters.
Dammit to Hell ! governments? you aren't helping airline travellers one bit with just X-Ray machines and occasional drug bomb sniffing dogs. Im pissed that we have no chemical analyzers in place, anywhere, just X-Ray machines looking for metal objects like knives and guns.
Now the story unfolds, our worldwide airports security is caught with its budegetary pants down; aka we spent $$$$$ all of it fighting for oil in Iraq, and chasing Osama. Now they have no money for chemical spectrum analyzers ? per airport to save this major ooppps issues, oh we also forgot, but knew about it.
Lets all use simple PH strips to test for acids or bases and explosives.
Cola - Acidic but not explosive
Beer- Alcoholic and tasty
Liquour- More Alcoholic and woozy.
NyQuil - Snoozy
Makeup- If shes that ugly, its price does matter.
Medication- We all need our meds, prescribed or self prescribed. Serious @#$% here.
Toothpaste/Mouthwash- God yes ! whew wee ! after 14 hours eating and drinking boxed food.
Clothes change- Yep ! cause if youve been strandid for a few days without it, Big C doesnt help. Going Commando is airy and cool in the hot season.
Cell phone- I aint buyin more, cause I already own Four. Sim cards are the way! plus I need to hook back up with the yesterday babes TG1,2,3,4 etc
Laptop- never leave home without it, even if it has no memory or harddrive space, internet hookups are a neccessity. Besides my movies and mp3s are better than hers and yours.
Human Body- made up of 95% water, lets see em ban us completely.
No carry ons, no electronics, no toilet bags, but I bet the really rich and the flight crews can carry on? you think
@#%$#%^% it ! Jammed by the federal man ! Jammed for my travellin ways ! Jammed ! so we cant leave our own countries to enjoy others, see the sights, and cultures and especially be with Thai women !
Just Travel Jammed ! waitin for the man, the war man, to get over it and leave things be, for the rest of us innocent travellers to cross them borders; @#$% imaginary borders.
Peace Out ! and it better get back to the way it was.

There an episode of Star Trek:Enterprise, the Xindi season, where some batch of human looking aliens carried some form of explosive mixture in their body and could be detonated by inserting an activating agent into their body. Essentially making everyone of them a walking bomb. May sound a little far fetched for now, but it could be a possibility. Wonder what airport security would do next?
