Everything on Cowboy was business as usual last night.
As for flights seems the PAD has some unions jumping on board and they might shut down Thai airways flights by not showing up for work.

State of emergency doesn´t mean there is a pressing imminent emergency. It just gives the legal framework to the government to do things and react in ways which would be illegal unless such state of emergency existed.
Maybe justification for Samak's commentary.
Out of the 43 labor unions that were supposed to go on strike today, 100 people did from EGAT. I guess PAD should have offered free Som Tom to get more people to come out.

Forty-three state enterprise unions failed to deliver a nationwide strike Wednesday in a show of support for protesters who have occupied Government House for the past week, forcing the prime minister to declare a state of emergency.
On Monday, representatives of some 43 state enterprises and 200,000 state employees threatened a nationwide strike starting 9 am Wednesday to support members of the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) who have occupied the seat of government since August 26.
The strike promised to cut basic utilities such as electricity and water to selected government targets and close down the port in Bangkok.
As of mid-day Wednesday the strike has yet to materialise, although some state enterprises such as the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand reported an unusually large number of absentees.
A Thai Airways International flight from Phitsanulok to Bangkok was canceled by the captain and crew Wednesday morning on the excuse that they weren't "feeling ready" to fly.
"The decision to strike is up to them," said Somsak Kosaisuk, a senior PAD leader and the former labour union leader at the State Railways of Thailand (SRT).
SRT's labour union has partially closed down the national rail network since Friday but was back in operation Wednesday.
Despite the state enterprise labour unions' failure to pull off a nationwide strike, and the imposition of emergency law, the PAD was not showing signs of vacating Government House.
PAD's Somsak said Wednesday that the movement still insisted that Thai Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej resign before they enter into negotiations.
Samak on Tuesday declared a state of emergency in the capital after a violent clash between pro-government and anti-government groups left one person dead and 43 others injured.
The clash was prompted when pro-government groups attempted to expel thousands of PAD followers from Government House, the government's office headquarters.
Army Commander-in-Chief General Anupong Paojinda has been appointed to head a committee to solve the standoff between the PAD and office-less government.
The general made clear at a press conference Tuesday that the military would not use violence to expel the PAD from Government House, raising questions as to how he intends to solve the crisis.
PAD leaders insist they will not leave the compound until Samak resigns and a new prime minister listens to their demands.

This Samak guy is really something.... I did not earlier pay any particular attention to either him or the rest of the so called political establishment. They are useless here - as well as in my homecountry. Politicians are and will always be - in my opinion - the lowest human existance. I really have no idea as to why we need these creeps!
Anyway - the first time I knew that Samak was just as stupid as he looks was when he hailed the junta in Burma! Incredible! One of the worst oppressing dictatorships in the world causing people, very much alike the Thais, to suffer under the worst possible conditions - and the this Samak schmuck hails the Hitler like "general" in Burma as "a good guy because he practices meditation!" WTF!!???
Second time I realised that this guy is just totally bad news for the entire kingdom was when he was interviewed yesterday on CNN. He firstly greeted the reporter with a lame handshake not even looking at him which for any person - and a pm in particular - should be considered rude, inpolite and just plain inappropriate for a man in his position.
The reporter then asked a very accurate question whether it was mr Thaksin "that pulled the strings" in all these events. Samak got red in his face and also lost it totally when he barked at the reporter very very upset "you can not ask me this question! This is a personal insult on me! You can not ask like that!"
Just like a little kid who had his lollipop stolen, the brave pm of our nation behaved and showed that he is not the right person for the job. Unstable and without good judgement.
If you are pm of a country - you do not loose your head over a question from some reporter. Just look at many of our world leaders and the provocative approaches they have to face. They may not like it - which I well understand - but they also know very well that they have to withstand it. It is part of the role and the game on that position in society.
The thai pm just embodied very clearly that unfortunately this country has the worst kind of leadership which is very sad indeed. Because as a matter of fact this country could be one of the leading nations in asia - was it not for the everpresent corruption and the people endorsing it!
May this political turmoil somehow end and one of the major factors is of course to get rid of this clown Samak and the reduce the still present influence of mr T!

Samak tells Thai people "Me Love you Long time"
Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej on Thursday dismissed claims he would resign. "Don't even think I am going to quit," he said. "The country needs a leader, and the world is watching us."
Some media reports (not the Bangkok Post) featured reports that Mr Samak would step down to meet a demand from the 102-day street protest in Bangkok.
For the first 30 minutes of his speech on nationwide radio - broken at 8am for the national anthem - the prime minister was calm, as he reviewed events of recent days, and said that events would eventually become smooth "in order to protect democracy".
"I am going to stay in office, and protect democracy," he said as the speech ended.
Good thing it is breakfast time as "The Nation" newspaper has plenty of "Egg on Face" to serve.
