What is it with you? Now you are talking about the 747. But that was not your original point (yes, the 747 replaced the 707).

The thing was that you said that the 727 replaced the 707. And that is wrong. Simple. Just admit that you got your planes mixed up or that you made made some mistake. Do not worry, we will not hold you to it. Just move on and admit your mistake: that the 727 was never a replacement airplane for the 707. That is all. Simple. Isn't it?

Mr Alan
The 727 replaced the 707 for short and medium haul flights, since at one time, the 707 was the only commercial jet liner that Boeing sold in any significant volume. The 707 continued to be purchased for long haul flights.

Then the 747 replaced the 707 for long haul flights.

Does that make you happy?

The US caused WWII? I thought it was Adolph Hitler and Japanese imperialism in China, Korea, etc that caused WWII.

You are one sick puppy.

I think he is refering to the fact that the poverty caused during the depression indirectly allowed Hitler to gain power in Germany. Hitler only ever managed popularity during adverse economic times.

The EU does produce shrimps, Norway being the main shrimp producing member state.

Norway do shrimps and other cool stuff.

BUT: Norway is not a member of EU.

To add to BrokenLeg's info;
It were the victors of WWI that insisted on Germany paying for the damage done. The US was one of them. That made Germany one of the poorest countries. That poverty created turmoil. And the bigger the turmoil is, the bigger the chance that a lunatic will win the elections. (So that must make the turmoil in your US pretty much of the scale )
To your (US) credit it was an american that recognized that fact and so he came up with the Marshalplan after WWII. And it worked. Germany and Japan are now big boys in the economic world.
Seems that back then people with a brain were allowed into the US gouverment.

Maybe Pol Pot would have been a better name instead of A.H. as the US was soly to blame for his rise to...um... fame by having some business in the neighborhood. But Pattaya was also a result of that. So there is a redeeming factor.

And yes those norwegians like to club those cuddly critters. So because of the uproar that caused, they looked for an other animal, more their size, to club to death, and this is what they came up with.

And what is Alan's fetish with planes? Do we care? If he starts wanking off about some plane at least have some information in it that we can care about. Like : A Boeing is better to fly to LOS then a Cesna because there is a drinkstrolly in it, or something.

And why do we need everybody and his brother posting that Norway is not a EU member??? Is one time not enough?? Is this also a wanking issue??
Maybe someone should open a topic "Wankers 'R' Us" where you can discus Boeings and Norway till the end of time. Maybe even get some nude pics in there of Boeings flying over norway.
Hmmmmmmmm. I'm already feeling an itch that needs to be scratched.

Let's just say West read EU as Europe and forgot that there only several countries in Europe that are not EU members. Jeez, get a life.

It were the victors of WWI that insisted on Germany paying for the damage done. The US was one of them.
The US was one of them? What about France and Great Britain?

The fact is that the Treaty of Versailles ignored US President Wilson's 14 points and punished Germany:

“The Germans believed that the treaty would be based on [US] President Wilson’s Fourteen Points, which offered a framework for a just peace, and the hopes that any future international tension would be prevented.”

“World War II and Opinions of the Nations: This site focuses on how WWII started and was fought and how many people were killed in it. It illustrates the German’s feelings that they believed they hadn’t been defeated and were stabbed in the back by their government. The Germans still had more fighting in them left over from WWI. It describes the “War Guilt Cause” and the punishments given to Germany. It points out how the Germans felt they were unjustly treated and built up much resentment towards these nations. It also discusses how the French and Great Britain didn’t feel the treaty was harsh enough.

Both quotes above from: http://www.pomperaug.com/socstud/stumuseum/web/mrcidea6vt.htm

Here are the main territorial demands in the Treaty (note than none included the US) :

- France demanded Germany return Alsace and Lorraine and cede the Rhineland and the valley of the Saar River
- Italy demanded the Tiroi region and the cities of Trieste and Flume
- Great Britain demanded all of Germany's African possessions
- Belgium demanded two small portions of German territory along its border
- Japan demanded ownership of the Marshall, Caroline and Mariana islands as well as Qingdao and Shandong Peninsula in China. It also asked the powers to recognize its "special position in China"

The US did not even ratify the punitive treaty as is explained here:

“The Prime Minister of France, Georges Clemenceau, wanted to cripple Germany for the damage done to France during the war. He was worried that if Germany wasn’t punished enough they would recover and attack France again, and because of Clemenceau’s fierce views he was known as ‘The Tiger’. President Woodrow Wilson of the US was for world-peace and had little resentment towards Germany because the US had suffered no damage in the war. He published a list of peace propositions in his Fourteen Points paper. The main ideas from his points were self-determination, free seas, disarmament of all countries, and a League of Nations to be set up to manage disputes between countries. The US did not even ratify the treaty (Wilson didn't consult the Senate before going to Versailles, as required by the US Constitution), so only Britain and France were left to force Germany to sign the Treaty of Versailles.”

The revisionist history of Europeans (blaming the US for everything that is wrong with world) is a pathetic testimony to their barbaric past.
