I feel the biggest problem, is the police doing nothing when you need help ( those I had been met in these three years). And they just wait for you to paying them some extra, but after you pay, they still do nothing..............

I was told by a BG who worked in Patpong if the tourist police were called to her bar the bar owner had to pay 5000 baht to the police no matter what the problem was. She told me to threaten to call the police and many times the bar owner will try and settle.
She also told me about all the farangs that come in drink and refuse to pay the bill. I found her to be reliable source of info.
