dealing drugs in a foreign country is the stupidest thing I can think of. If you get caught, where do you go ? Do you know any big shot in the police department ? no. do you know any good lawyer that can get you off ? no. Do you have easy access to money to buy yourself out, pay lawyers, pay police, pay politician ? no. So when you get caught, what do you do ? You just sit there and let that judge ( who may already have some grudges against foreigner trying to sell drugs to his country, to ruin his youths) sentence you to whatever he feels like at the time. Dumb, dumb, stupid. Does he deserve to sit in Thai jail for 7 years ? does it matter ? even if he does not deserve this "harsh" sentence, what can you do for him? nada ! We can all feel sorry or not sorry for this guy for a few hours or a few days, and then we will be off on our merry way to other things while he still sits in there for the next 6 years. Don't do it ! In many Asian countries, drug dealing is a very very severe crime. They are not as tolerent to drugs as the western countries. Check out Singapore. Has anyone tried to smuggled some shit into that country lately ? No. because you know what will happen to you if you get caught. Do not mess with what these countries will not tolerate. You are just asking for your head to be chopped off !

The strange thing is that the prison guards sells drugs to the foreigners in jail to ease there pain. Thats right thai police prison guards sell the same drugs to the prisoners that they where arrested for selling. Welcome to thailand

if you have to use drugs, go to those countries that condon it. Do not come to Asia, get busted, sentenced to 7years or worse (death penalty) and then whine about it. does not matter whether you like these laws in Asia or not, does not matter whether you think they are too tough on drug users/dealers, it's their country, they decide how tolerant or how intolerant they want with anything they like. IT"S THEIR COUNTRY !

Infact I would welcome the switch in my country. Become harsh on drugs and have wide open go-go's, beer bars, Soapies, MP, Freelances all over the place. Oh and the same price as Thailand would be nice also.

Well, since you can say I have both this would be of the utmost importance.
One day of fun here = worth a ticket AMS to BKK.
Two days of fun here = already making a profit in BKK.
And if you do not do 1.000 pills, but 1.000 kilo's; you don't get 7 years, but 7 months.
Your cell comes equiped with Playstation 2 ofcourse. (Only 1 console tho, since we hardly have 2-in-1 cells.)

I do not understand what the big fuss is all about, if you read the Thai papers as I do you will see foreign people are picked up every day for selling speed and other drugs. One idiot bar owner in pattaya went to the drug store and bought a viagra clone and sold it on walking street for 3 times what he paid. he is now in jail for along time for selling drugs bec. he was not a pharmacist
