Sure enough very few people apreciate the thought of their 16 y o son taking it up the ass. I definetely wouldn't. Yet 16 y o passive gays do enjoy these kinds of practices. The guy alllgedly was 16 too young but still can be hard to tell the difference between an 18 year old and 16 year old. If he had of been 13 or 14 I would agree with the paedophilia claims but this one is not so clear cut.
I doubt very much whether a lot of us could tell the difference between some 16 year olds and 18 year olds.

First of all, the law is the law wherever it applies. I don't want to discuss the legal theory in different countries or the differences between their laws. Affirming oneself is just about the most important thing to adolescents. But that doesn't mean that their brains are mature enough to reflect and make good decisions which are healthy for them. A 7 year old will throw a tantrum for his mother to buy him chocolate he doesn't need. In fact he will lie to his mother and go to lengths of any false misreprestation possible (like the American anti-hero Tom Sawyer) to get what he desires. If he says it's good for him, should we believe him? Granted there are major biological differences between a 16 yr old and a 7 yr old. And although some 16 yr olds may well be in fact as mature as many 25 yr olds, it is merely the fact of "being full of muscles, energy and sperm" as you put it, that we, the older persons of a community, must distrust their decisions somewhat and protect them from themselves.
Don't go overboard on my comment. I am not suggesting a despotic control over teenagers. But anyone in California (an industrialized nation) which has a driving license of 16 who has seen, for instance, the statistics on drunken teen automobile death accidents there... or teen pregnacy rates too... would have to step back a bit and say... Hmmm... these kids are not as experienced with themselves and their reactions and life...
Young people do need structure, consistency, and familiar things in order to develop. Their brains are delicate, as it were, and easily influenced by an emotion or another person. Children do not develop healthily, as members of the societies in which we must live in, in a state of chaos and absolute freedom.
I am not debating the laws of Europe or Thailand, but I do have issue with your logic.

Sorry, did I type too fast for you to read? I think very clearly and I suspect you don't care to hear the argument. It really doesn't matter what happens in other countries around the world. If you are in a country that has a specific age of consent and you choose to ignore it than you must be prepared to pay the price. That is what I mean by step up. On the moral side, by your argument any age that any country declares the age of consent is OK if it suits your purpose. What if it were you son or daughter? Would 12 be OK?
