I was not referring to the Visa non Visa benefits of owning a Condo.  . There are many types of Visa's as we all know... The key word was “investment”…
I was referring to those guys who have sunk their hard earned saving into one, two or more Condo's, Houses, etc, and who become “landlords” overnight, as a means of earning a regular monthly income  expecting there to be enough long term (Falang) rentals to finance their existence in LOS.
One more piece to add to the mix is those guys  who have purchased any property in their TG’s name, (Yes they do exist)  will now have to be really worried that once they are out of LOS for the full 90 days their Tilak wont just turn around and empty the place and sell the house from under them…. It does happen believe me…

From what Sunbelt are saying on the Thai Visa Forum, this 3 million Baht investment visa is no more.

Bangkok, Thailand 12 September 2549.
A powerfull peak lobby group has said today it will take a stand against the Government's new immigration law's commencing 1 October 2549.
The group known as BGAOT has said it will organise it's member's to sign petition's, knock on the door's of their respective Government representative and have a street march in an attempt to persuade the Govt. to rescind the forthcoming law.
The group's spokesperson, Miss Sial, has said she will encourage all paid up financial member's to hammer home their view's in the march, scheduled for Saturday 16 September.
Miss Sial in her third year as President of BGAOT, (Bar girl's association of Thailand) has said defiantely her member's will NOT TAKE THIS LYING DOWN. They do walk upright most of the time except in time's of financial gain.
Her member's have said they are worried about their financial future, which is understandable she commented. Some of her member's who are in a financial relationship with farang's will find it hard to adjust to normal bar girl working live's.
She said some of her member's believe they have the ideal financial relationship. The farang's believe they are living with a GF, but in fact paying the girl's a huge amount of money to call them lover's in a boyfriend/girlfriend situation.
Together with the manufacturing sector of the community, namely Durex, the KY jelly company, short time hotel owner's and mafia tuk tuk driver's, she expect's the street march to be a success and will ultimately force the Govt. to bow to public sympathy and rescind the new law. She further added that if this did not work, she will throw her honourable name at the Govt.

This new law aint gonna happen. The Govt. will back down somehow, but are looking for an idea how to save face.
If the law come's into effect. FOR SALE...1 fridge, 1 washing machine, 1 table.................

This is a GOOD thing, it will get rid of many of the sad sexpats.
If it is not too much trouble, can I ask a question...any sex tourist is welcome to answer. Particulalry the 2 I have in mind.
