I'm going to stop reading this thread. After I say one more thing...massive US loans to France and UK during WWI. All paper money. US demanded repayment in gold after war. This is the biggest part of explaining why France and UK acted the way they did after WWI. And explains the depression. And, partly WWII.

You might as well let it go, Mr. Alan. Next thing you know, somebody will be blaming GWB for WWI as well as WWII and everything bad that has happened in Europe since. Now is when we need the Z Forum.

Mr. Shitforbrains Alan, you should better listen to Expat. Your ranting and raving makes it a lot clearer to me why you vote a dumbass like George W into the Whitehouse. It seems he is the smartest guy you could find amongst you. I wrote : "It were the victors of WWI that insisted on Germany paying for the damage done. The US was one of them." And you answer : "The US was one of them? What about France and Great Britain?" Yeah! What about them??????????????? Did I forget norway??????????? My line was very clear for a 2 year old to understand. It said something about payment for damage done. In my history books I can not remember Germany invading/bombing New York in WWI. So the countries you mentioned should have some say in the matter I think, they suffered some damage. Or was the US not a player in the big war??? Or does "one of them" mean that the US was the ONLY player in WWI. Jesus, grow a brain or shut up. Better yet, grow a brain AND shut up. This is a forum about thailand, not the republican campaing website. You won the election, no need to go on. We don't believe in George W. and we also don't believe in Santa Claus. And nobody cares what you believe. If you can not shut up, atleast try to get a word like "thailand" in it somewhere. Something like : The US won WWI because 1 million thais died in the trenches of Verdun and a million bargirls made the german army so horny they forgot to shoot back.

If you want to check your history right now, it is not too late. You can find it on the web. Here are the facts: President Wilson’s proposed his Fourteen Points, which offered a framework for a just peace, and the hopes that any future international tension would be prevented. Germany surrendered and started negotiations based on the assumption that Wilson’s Fourteen Points would be the basis for a negotiated settlement. But Britain and France (primarily France) insisted on punishing Germany. The result was the Treaty of Versailles which bankrupted Germany, took some of its territory at home, and virtually all of its territory abroad. This happened before any “loans to France” made by the US. The US never ratified the Treaty of Versailles (necessary according to the US constitution). France and Great Britain did sign and legally accept it according to the own laws. No, the USA was not the main player in WWI, and they had little to do with the Treaty of Versailles which caused resentment in Germany and indirectly lead to WWII (although there can be no excuse given for what Hitler did). Insofar as ignoring those few on this forum whose represent tyranny and lies, that is what Chamberlain did prior to WWII. I will no do it. “All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing.” - Edmund Burke

Yes that is correct. The the 707-420 was powered by RollsRoyce Conways. Boeing has used a variety of power plants on its planes. On modern jets, teh customer can choose between 2 or 3 of the major jet engine makers when ordering a plane (Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney, or GE).

I was under the impresion that after the hyperinflation of 1923 there was a period of ecomnmic stability and some prosperity in germany which coincided with Hitler losing popularity. It was crash in 1929 ultimately /Indireclty led to Hitlers further rise, Anyway whatever the reasons debated here it's pretty clear that nationalism caused the war and nationalism has caused this argument on a pussy thread The world would be so much better off without it. (Nationalism not pussy)

The basis of Nazism is not just nationalism, it is the hatred of others and making others into scapegoats. Adolph Hitler thrived on hatred and blamed others for all the ills of the Germany. This is not un-similar to a few on this forum whose hatred and lies about the US permeates this "pussy forum" and blame the US for everything that is wrong with the world. I would never claim that the US (or any country) is perfect, but the rhetoric displayed here by a few fanatics is nothing short of sheer demagoguery. Adolph Hitler would be proud.
