If those so called "terrorist" were really willing to kil some peoples they would give up attacking planes (where its next to impossible to place a bomb due to all those controls) and would target large bridges, or attraction parcs, or even large supermarkets...
But of course since all this has nothing to do with terrorism and everything to do with making slaves of the whole population then the attacks on planes will carry on despite all controls, because they are payed and controlled by the governments in order to enforce all those "security laws"!
Or alternatively, this is B**shit...
Since when have terrorists not targeted things other than planes? Bali (bars), Jakarta (hotels), Southern Thailand (schools) Philippines (bloody anything)..... Or does this not fit with the conspiracy theory?
Or maybe it is just that with 400 people in a confined space, a very small device can take out a lot of people, and close a whole airport, affecting teh lives of hundreds of thousands. A supermarket, with a similar small device, is likely to kill a mere handful of people, and the effect on the rest of the population? they have to go to a different supermarket.....
Of course, the alternative is that it is all a conspiracy....

And of course could you please explain why it is in the governments interests to create rules to stop me taking a can of Coke on a plane?
And given that, within a few weeks, I will be able to buy all I need tohijack a plane at the airport, as I have been able to do ever since 9/11 (hairspray = flamethrower, razors = knife, etc.) It just goes to show that all of the security we have is largely pointless.... the only thing to do is to ban planes..... That woudl stump them!

Janitor is exactly right. So someone reads that a particular train is blown up, so big deal. It is another country and I don't take the train. Little effect besides the localized effect.
Many people are still parnoid about air travel. Throw a few bombs in to the mix and you can obtain maximum bang for the buck.
Look what this threat has already done to disrupt air travel and people's lives on a large scale.

Yeah, I can understand - must be tough if you have nothing to respond, and have to resort to sticking your head in the sand - perfectly justified, seeing as you lack any sort of proof for you inanities.
There's more 'facts' supporting outer space aliens brought down the twin towers, or tried to create a fake incident, than what you are suggesting, so I can understand that your only answer to distratcors would be trying to ignore them.

One interesting point. El Al, the Israeli flag carrier, hasn't had a plane hijacked since 1968. That's generally attributed to El Al's rigorous security routines, which mostly concentrate on profiling passengers. As a result, not many Muslims fly El Al.
But I guess that's not much help to expatchuck.

BBC,CNN, ABC, CBC, OU812, WASH DC, TSA, Downing Street, all said it was a PLOT ! nothing but a plot that Wash DC moved on through Scot Yard.
The 24 student jokers in E. London scheming over their cells and internets.
Evidence ? they have to gather eveidence or catch em red handed with their Peroxide, Acetone and Whitelightning or whatever the Hell chemical concoxtion they could muster up to blow up us Innocent Travellers. Email and harddrives ? was this a frustraition email rant and rave ? we all vent, vent out life sucks, work sucks no matter who we are.
What this so called Plot really uncovered was that Scot Yard can respond to threats immediatly. But that, all of our worldwide airports have no chemical spectrum analyzers in place to detect explosive material combinations. Frickin Shame ! we are spending so so much damm time and $$$$$ big baht in the Iraq/Iran/Pak/India/Afgan conflicts that our worldwide governments have forgoten the these threats at our airports. 9/11, Lockerbee, 1995 Aisa inbound to USA killed a Japan guy traveller, etc etc and on and on. How many planes fly each day? how many airports are there? thousands. Our screening should be better.
Airport screening sucks and this last threat issue has uncovered the real truth, they dont have any budgets left? to provide for high tech screening systems. Governments raising the oil and gas prices and interest rates on bank loans all downpour through worlwide economies. We are paying for GW's WW3 and potential WW4 with Iran, just to keep the Suadis richer than hell. @#$#$^% the Carlyle Group !
There will be more and more protest in the streets, till decisions are made to get rid of the geopolitical negative governments out. We are being told lies, while needed protection isnt there. Terrorist ban in smaller cells and thats something Scot Yard knows about, IRA. USA (opps WashDC,GW and the generals) thinks its broader based by country. Nope ! its the individuals that act randomly. Remember the Oklahoma Bombing? #$%#%^$&& it all !! Nixon/LBJ and a revolution America.
