Daffy I realise it seems way way beyong your grasp, but if the smoker haters had in fact organised a NON SMOKING BAR then people would NOT be smoking in it.

For the first time since joining this forum I'm going to put someone of ignore,, sorry Daffy but your inability to see both sides of an argument leaves me saddened at what your life must be like.

DD, if you can't beat them join them! Get a cheap cigar (or two), light it up and blow it their way. Great thing about a cigar is that you don't have to use it all at once, just leave to extinguish itself and carry it with you to the next destination. One or two of them should last you the whole night.

OHH no not the cigars,, I was a non-smoker for many years I could handle the cig smoke but those BLOODY cigars can fill a room in like 3 minutes!!!!!!
That's it, we need 3 types of bars,, cig smoking, cigar smoking and NON smoking. God knows there are enough bars in BKK to keep us all happy.

Interestingly when I was in San Francisco a couple of years ago, nobody could smoke in the bars, but you could go to this club to smoke cigars. It was great.

BK,, bars have been non-smoking for quite some time in Aus,, rider is that they may have one small section ( must be self-inclosed) for the smokers.
Actually someone earlier in the thread mentioned something about Ireland being first to have non smoking work places,, well Aus work-places have been no-smoking zones for at least 10 years.
A cigar room, like the 1900's sounds great.
Tux's, top class Cognac,Cuban cigars, followed by a blow job,,, now that would definately put SOL out of business

Dude, may I suggest going back to school for a rehash of READING COMPREHENSION 101...? to me this whole "smoking/non-smoking/health club" story is playing in the ivory tower, and I do not blame us expats about the time we dedicate to this non relevant issue,
the question is, that's what the health minister of the kingdom of thailand has on his priority list???
labour standards? factories amid residential areas? or my two begging boys inhaling exhausts all day, instead of studying.
at the end the health cops are gonna make a fortune for closing their eyes at selected places for selected fees.
