Are yoou saying that no other country exports more to China than comes in from Thailand, or that most of Thailand's exports go to China..?

Yes, China's principal trading partners: Japan 18.1%, Taiwan 10.5%, South Korea 9.7%, US 9.2%, Germany 5.6%
(NOTE: Don't see Thailand in there)
Thailand's principal trading partners: apan 23%, US 9.6%, China 7.6%, Malaysia 5.6%, Singapore 4.5%, Taiwan 4.4%
Seems that they only get 7.6% of their trading from China... Nothing on the Chinese side -- so, where does it say that they do so much with China?

Hzink/Balls........in Singlolo's original statement...."Thailand is indeed the largest exporter to china".......he fails to indicate a very pertinent fact.
Singlolo's figures are based on SEA, which of course is South East Asia, only a fraction of world trade. To his credit he does add 'SEA' in a follow-up post.
So in effect Thailand may be the largest exporter to China, but in a very limited geographical area.
Sort of like saying China is a football power.....but where?
I am a little surprised his other statements about cheap sex tourists did not receive more member attention, especially his "we don't need you" comment.

This quote from a study of Tourism in Thailand for the Thailand Development Institute makes it clear -
If one was to define quality tourists as big spenders who are also culture seekers, what would be a likely group of such tourists? According to TDRI's survey of over 1,200 local and foreign tourists, quality tourists tend to be female, aged over 40, who spend more money and are more interested in cultural attractions.
It may be easier to identify "bad" tourists. If bad tourists are those who come to buy sex, or come to trade or consume illegal drugs, they should be banned. The relevant policies should not tolerate such practices. Drastic action should be taken to eliminate such services. The responsibility for ending "bad tourism" would thus be shifted from TAT to the Ministry of Interior.
Far from catering to the needs of P4P tourists in order to earn foreign currency, the policy is to put the P4P segment of the tourist market out of business, step by step.
It remains to be seen whether the new target market of women 40+ can be convinced to enjoy the heat, humidity and pollution.

It would be interesting to know how much money from abroad is wired into the BG/TG's coffers. I think it would skew the average THB per day in favor of the punter than the 40+ female.

Actually, I did notice that Singlolo had qualified his statement with SEA, and was also aware that the two links I posted do not, at face value, address that qualification. The rest, as they say in the text books, was left as an exercise for the reader.
So your comment about Chinese football is apropos here, and the response I was fishing for (evil, I know) -- go to the head the class

Guys, there was no intention to be rude. However I do confirm that I dislike people coming in Thailand for cheap sex and saying that they are the primary support for the Thai economy and its people. Its Gross and stupid.
As for the China/Thailand Story, obviously you can't put thailand in the same bag as the US or European countries. It is basic assumption to base facts on SEA Data which is most case have a per capita income in the same vicinity.
Hope this clarify my first statement,
