Terrorism started for the US in 1979 when a group of Islamic radicals stormed the US Embassy in Tehran.
Nothing was done about this by President Carter except launch a futile rescue effort, ill planned and executed. Bush the Elder acted in Kuwait after Saddam took over the country.
During Clinton's tour we had the following "incidents"....Al-Khobar bombing, Riyadh USMTM bombing, USS Cole, Two US Embassies in Africa bombed, World Trade Center bombed for the first time. No action was taken by the Clinton pacification team other than firing a few Cruise missiles into the desert, taking out five tents, three camels and 117 assorted sheep and goats.
Had Clinton taken sterner action, perhaps, just perhaps, 9/11 would not have happened and there would have been no further action required in Afghanistan or Iraq.
Yet, somehow, all this terrorism is the fault of GWB???
It will do no good to flame me on this thread as I will be traveling from Saudi to BKK today, along with my terrorist friends. They are coming to get laid at the Grace and I am coming to play golf. I will read the Forum in the next couple of days and if there is a coherent post, I will answer it.

I do believe that there is something deeply wrong with the official version of 9/11 and of many of the following events including this london "terror alert", call it conspiracy theory or whatever the name...

I call it 'lack of critical thinking', or a 'lack of education'.
I find no holes in the events of 9/11, but then again, I understand physics, have a broad education, and a father who's an airline pilot, and a mother who was an engineer. The collapse of the buildings came as no surprise once they were hit by the planes - this was not an issue of the structural shock of the collision, but of the fire weakening the steel structure, causing 1-2 floors to collapse onto themselves, which resulted in a chain reaction, as the structure is not designed to absorb such vertical trauma.
If you want to find any fault for the collapse, find it in the asbestos hysteria of the 1970s. At that point, the structural steel girders of the WTC being built then, were being sprayed with asbestos up to the 64th floor. Asbestos spraying above the 64th floor was stopped because of 'environmental concerns' (since then, unfounded), by the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine's Irving Selikoff. In 1971, New York City banned the use of asbestos in spray fireproofing. At that time, asbestos insulating material had only been sprayed up to the 64th floor of the World Trade Center towers.
It was known since the 1970s that if a fire were to break out above the 64th floor, the building would collapse if the fire was not contained with an hour.
Which is exactly what happened on September 11.
The two hijacked airliners crashed into floors 96 to 103 of One World Trade Center and floors 87 to 93 of Two World Trade Center. Instead of the steel girders of the towers lasting up to four hours before melting, the steel frames of One World Trade Center lasted only one hour and forty minutes, while the steel frames of Two World Trade Center lasted just 56 minutes before collapsing.
Selikoff was certainly right to point out that some workers heavily exposed to certain types of asbestos fibers were at increased risk of disease. But Selikoff was wrong to press the panic button about any use of or exposure to asbestos. For example, no adverse health effect has ever been attributed to Levine's technique of spraying wet asbestos, according to Harvard's Wilson. (Herbert Levine invented spray fireproofing with wet asbestos in the late-1940s. Levine's invention involved a combination of asbestos with mineral wool and made commonplace the construction of large steel framed buildings.)
If anything, the world has paid a horrible price for junk science-fueled asbestos hysteria, which is no different than the hysteria fueled by conspiracy nuts.

When I meet someone who cant stand to speak with someone who has not the same opinion and start insulting him after a few minutes I call THIS lack of education.

Now after telling me all your bullshit about this "asbestos" thing (by the way congratulation, not easy to use this word in a conversation, how long did you keep it in store?) and how it was common knoledge those towers would collapse exactly like in a controlled demolition if a plane hit them, then please show some more of your science and explain me how the 3rd tower collapsed, it was more recent, barely on fire at all and received no plane at all, but still felt in a few seconds exactly like during a controlled demolition....
