1. Maybe. But he claimed to have drugged her and then sexually assaulted her, but the autopsy did not find any evidence of drugs or sexual activity.

3. He knew the Ramseys in Atlanta after they moved there from Colorado. It is not clear that he knew them from before the murder (although I could be wrong on this).
4. He is a psycho. In fact he is so psycho that he confessed to a crime that he did not commit and has fantasized about a sexual encounter with Jon Benet that never happened.
5. Yes, scratch that one.
Jon Benet was killed on Christmas Day or early morning on December 26th (when her body was discovered). The ex-wife you refer to (who does not like him) said that he was at home in Atlanta with his family every year for Christmas. It would be hard to forget if your husband was not at home on Christmas Day.

Amen! It's disgusting to me how the media sensationalize and perpetuate the stereotypes.
Well, they ought to at least be fair in their slander, don't you think?
I'd like to read a lead paragraph in Monday's paper about his homecoming; something along the lines of:
"John Karr, the man suspect in the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, was repatriated to his native United States today- the global leader in homicide, substance abuse, morbid obesity and divorce....
But no- they wouldn't 'get' the correlation...

But no- anyone so consumed and fixated as to offer as a primary identification of his entire personna to the outward world, that he is first and foremost, above all other possible identities, a "Bush (and obviously a US) Refugee"/hater, wouldn't 'get' the correlation, would they?

but I think skip was just saying that it seems that any time thailand is a media focus is always in a "bad" way..and maybe they dont treat other nations with such disdain (sp?) when reporting on.
thats the way I interpret it.
I know in my heart that America is all the things you say and I dont get offended or even think twice when people may address us in a negative manner...with that said we are far from perfect!!!!

Agreed - at the end of the day, what I find amusing, is those people that are the most critical of America, would not be where they are today, if not for America - and if America sucked so bad, how come most everyone wants to be like us?
What a lot of misguided, disillusioned people don't seem able to do, is to separate specific problems with the 'Bush administration' from 'America'. Sure, America isn't perfect, but I still find it the best possible place to *live* and most of all, the best possible place to *work* - and believe that any of the problems are only transitionary.
