Hey Y'all: The BBC's reporting that the terminal has been evacuated. No meat yet, just the headline. I don't know if it's evacuated of fliers or protesters.***** No luck, it's the travelers. I'm off to BKK in a week and getting antsy. Thai courts have ordered PAD to leave the airport immediately though. Too much $$$ to be lost, to let this continue, don't you think ? wj

Well... I made it as far as Seoul on my flight last night, where I am now shacked up in the Sky hotel near the airport. Asiana told me last night that they will fly me into BKK tonight, departing at 9pm... 3am arrival??
Guess I'll have to wait and see if the flight happens or not, from the sounds of things, it looks like "not" is more likely in the short term.
On the bright side, my hotel appears to be located in some sort of mini nightlife area (at least it had a lot of neon lights  ) so maybe I'll check that out tonight.

broken leg, so sensitive.... ok, you caught me, now for a true story....
the old granny that used to dance at long gun? she is related to my wife.... a few years ago she was being sponsored by a guy (no nanes or locations to be shared, but a nice guy) and she was up in isaan. so one day my wifes family and I go to he rhouse for an afternoon of drinking and som sip..... that means make ten. an isaan card game that is actually quite fun to play and gamble with... so we party there all day then go back home.
a side note, I have some great pictures of her dancing on stage alone at my weeding.... all that gold she wears... she was dead drunk for 3 days.... I am not sure she even slept....... she is actually a very nice person. sponsor gone now, but if you do see her around, pass her some spare baht if you can afford it... her kid is nice and her life is a lot harder now....

You guys are missing the best part of all of this -- the only reason the PAD took over Suvarnabhumi is to protest the arrival of Somchai returning from Peru (same reason they stormed the control tower, to check up on his scheduled arrival.)
Some time after 'taking over' Suvarnabhumi, someone figured out that Utapao airport is also capable of accommodating international flights, so the PAD dispatched more yellow shirts to stake out and rush Utapao airport.
I guess since Don Meuang is just meant for domestic flights, no one figured it's worth keeping an eye on it... I guess.
So, Somchai does return, as he promised, and he lands in.... Chiang-Mai. The symbolic meaning of landing in Chiang Mai is not only pretty obvious, but at the same the inability of the PAD to block his return, or to even prove to be any inconvenience, must have been a HUGE loss of face to these retards.
Regardless of what anyone feels of the née TRT party currently in charge, or the PAD's 'valiant fight', I have to admit that I enjoy how the current government is far better strategically, and how the PADdies are coming across just as bumbling fools... That's what makes this entertaining.

Daffy..... the halls of the palace are strangly silent.... as I have stated before, this is just another step to finish toxin off and those behind him.... notice that no one will do anyhting, even though economically it is ruining the country?
