It is an fact that the poorest people of the world live in India, Bangladesh, China and most of the African continent. I also have just named about half the world population, since in those 2 countries also live the most people. So they are poor and there are a lot of them.
Then WHY are the streets of New York and Washington not flooded with indian or chinese suicide bombers?
Somehow the most dangerous (and most in number) terrorrists come from a country like Saudi Arabia.
So is it your theory that Saudi's are poor and Indians are rich??? Maybe you should get a lobotomy for your Broken Brain. I am maybe longwinded, but that is better then braindead like you.

"Poverty Breeds Fundamentalism" really does not convey my meaning accurately, I am much more comfortable with "Poverty feeds fundamentalism"
The word breed would suggest that I am implying that everywhere poverty exists so must fundamentalism and that is certainly not my intention.
However there are many many Fundamentalist groups in Africa, India, Bangladesh and even China I'm surprised you are not aware of them just because they are not blowing themselves up on the streets of washington does not mean they don't exist.
But then students of Sun Tzu would tell you that the chinese are far too clever for manifest militancy.

(Real answer: Apart from some stuff like dodgy chemical plants blowing up (India) and the US wars in SE Asia that kinda involved the Chinese (who won) both countries are making big bucks out of the US. The reason (OK, one reason) the Middle East hates the US is the lust for oil at any price (although it helps keep the Saud family in power) and the irrational support for Israel (probably connected to the lust for oil) ).

Fair question. Truthfully, I don't know the answer. Given the fact that the crown prince of Saudi Arabia is one of the world's richest men with very significant interests in the West, it would seem to make little sense. But don't underestimate ideology and Muslim solidarity...one of the accusations involved a certain bank account operated by the Saudi government which bankrolled Palestinian suicide bombers (we are not talking about helping Palestinian children - we are talking about sponsorship of suicide bombers who targeted Israeli civilians). The only reason that I see is religious solidarity.
Another possible reason is hedging their bets. Saddam was on good terms with the White House at one point and look at what happened. He got displaced once he fell out of favor. The Saudis know that the US might not always be there to support their regime so they are playing both sides.

Actually there is a lot of ethnic fundamentalism (it does not have to be religious based) in the countries you mentioned.
If I recall, Bangledesh was started to as a result of ethnic problems. The ethnic clensing afterwards was terrible.
Mosques and Hindu temples are burned and bombed on a regular basis in India. Last year 30 tourists and worshipers were killed in a bombing in north India.
The ethnic struggles between the Chus and Hans have been running for 2000 years now. Several months ago a town in Shaanxi Province was locked down by the PLA for four days after a riot broke out between Chus and Hans as a result of an auto accident. Several blocks in town were destroyed by fire.
(of course in Detroit they would not call this ethnic violence, its a weenie roast there)
In each case above the areas involved and the perpertrators of the violence were disenfrachised, poor people who had nothing to sustain them except their ethnic/religious beliefs.
The whole world does not revolve around the west and its problems.
As for the ethnic issues endemic to the Middle East, you gotta blame the Brits, they created Kwuait, Palestine, and several other power groups to maintain division in the Middle East when they gave up their administrative control. Possibly because they had the biggest oil interests there at the time? Or was Palestine created just to 'get Nassar's goat.'
