OBL is 100% religiously motivated. To him Saddam and Bush were infidels that occupied holy land. They were not friends and they never will be. I saw footage of the security contractors going from A sector to Airport along (Irish road) The name given to this most dangerous Highway in Bagdad.

People talk like terrorism (and let's not get started on the definition) is a new thing. It's only new because the targets (mainly americans and australians) have never been subjected to this before.
Terrorist acts have been perpetuated against people of all colours and creeds for centuries. What's going on today is no worse or no better now than ever before. The only difference is that it's reported in a global communications age.
There is no answer to this. It's a result of fear, confusion, hatred and all those things that makes being a human so wonderful. There is no solution. It is part of life, ancient and modern.
All you can do is feel for the victims (both westerners and muslims) and wait (in vain) for better understanding.
And be careful and vigilant. At least in an age when we EXPECT attacks (unlike in the past when they were unexpected) people can attempt to make a rational decision about whether to go to likely targets.
As for Thailand being a target. Of course it will be a target - it's just a matter of time. Nana? Phuket? Pattaya? Patpong? Of course. Think about the moral dilemma of the liberal western media reporting on the terrorist deaths of dozens of western sex tourists and prostitutes. And think then of the reporting on al-jeezera.
Frankly, I'm surprised it hasn't happened already.

Bush failed in about everything he ever wanted to do.
He wanted to get OBL, and failed miserable. He won the Iraq war but lost the peace. He searched for WoMD and only got some rusted AK-47's. He wanted to get Al-Qaida and they can do about anything they want.
He failed to protect his population in New Orleans. You can say that is an unfair argument, but on Al-Jazera nobody hears your argument.
You are right that all the motherf***ers WERE scared during the Iraq war.
