A "suitcase" bomb is a very compact and portable nuclear weapon and could have the dimensions of 60 x 40 x 20 centimeters or 24 x 16 x 8 inches. The smallest possible bomb-like object would be a single critical mass of plutonium (or U-233) at maximum density under normal conditions. The Pu-239 weighs 10.5 kg and is 10.1 cm across. The warhead consists of a tube with two pieces of uranium, which, when rammed together, would cause a blast. I will make one last try to turn this topic back to its original intent.
The real question is whether the terrorists will succeed in driving the tourists away from Bali. Bali depends on tourism in order to survive economically. Without tourists the people of Bali would suffer greatly.
This is the hidden intent of the terrorists. Bali, being the only non-Moslem island in Indonesia is an anathema to the Islamic extremists. Given their preference they would kill or drive out all of the Hindus on the island.
So what should be our response? I was only partially kidding when I suggested the beach party. In reality we must 'draw a line in the sand' by sending a message to the terrorists that they will not succeed in driving us out of paradise. Is it risky to holiday in Bali? In my mind it is no more risky then a holiday in London, or New York, or even LOS.
I for my part intend to continue my golf weekends in Bali (along with the whitewater rafting, lazing on the beach, etc.). I would hope that the rest of the tourists will do the same...

My anger/frustration is that we do not seem to be able to find the undercover intelligence contacts that can pinpoint the leaders so we can cut the heads off this terrorist monster. Then the fear is in their court....."become a Jihad leader and you and your family will soon likely be assasinated" That would put an end to it or at least reduce it to a feeble level.
I just don't understand the West's failure to achieve this obvious solution.
