Quote: from Blattsucker on 2:02 am on Jan. 24, 2005 First : I (and maybe most western non US citizens) don't hate America or americans. I (we) only hate Bush & co. Americans are and can be friends. So any link to any previous World War is irrelevant to the issue how good the US is/was/will be. George W. was not president then, so mine/our dislike for him has nothing to do with previous history. At least I can distingish a person from a people, I hope most people can. Second : Mr. Alan is even more stupid then I thought. He contradicts my post by saying exactly the same things I said, only in very high detail that is of no interest on this forum. Maybe a lesson in reading should get you out of kindergarten. Probably not. Third : Why is Bush stupid? Well first you have no concept of what stupid is. Let me clear that up. Everybody is stupid and everybody is smart. You, me, everybody. A BUSHpeople tribesman from the Kalahari dessert is very smart in survival in that dessert. He could survive on a handful of sand for a month. You, me and everybody on this forum is considered stupid by that tribesman because we could not survive 1 day in the dessert. We consider that guy stupid because he does not know what a mobilephone is. I have read a thousend posts here stating bargirls are stupid because all the things said in this topic are way beyond their little brains. But bargirls are very smart in parting all of us smart guys from their money. Some of you are very smart about planes as I can read here. I'm very stupid about planes. But that is no problem I pay pilots to do the flying for me. That works for me. Now Bush is stupid because he is the most unqualified person to ever walk in the Whitehouse. That there are fields in live he is good at (like boozing) is of little interest if you are the leader of the world. I want a guy on that spot with world knowledge and leadership qualifications. And the only leadershipqualification he has is a big mouth. The only thing I can give him is that his campaign was smarter then that of Kerry. But being able to get to the top does not make you a good leader. Just as those Boeing fetishists in here are not nessecarily good pilots. So stupip/smart is relative. Relative to the path you walk in life. So in closing, I don't hate americans, I feel sorry for the 1.000 soldiers that needlessly died since the end of the war because of that stupid commander in chief. I don't hate americans, I feel sorry for Lindy England for having to fall in her sword so Bush and Rummsfelds can keep blameless. I don't hate americans, I feel sorry for the american people for being constantly lied to (or atleast not being told the whole truth) by their leaders. I don't hate americans, I feel sorry for the next generation that has to pay off George W's debt, the biggest ever in history and getting bigger for 4 more years. Oh, personaly I gain by Bush being in office. He made the dollar so cheap that compaired to 3 years ago I can now f*** 4 bargirls for the price of 3. But that is just me being selfish. Is this topic still in anyway related to thailand???????? (He askes while poring gasoline on top of the fire.) Seems I'm the only one even mentioning the country.
so who is better qualified to lead the world ? OBL ? Sadam Hussien ? Maybe you ? give us a name so we can all start bashing him/her........55555

-------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- ------------------------------These these "tax breaks" were avialable to "everyone" just as it says in the article. So everytime the US lowers the corporate income tax rates, does that mean that the US is giving aid to Boeing?
Mr. Alan, You can sanitize your bathroom as much as you like BUT it still smells of shit. The "tax breaks" mentioned in the article was NOT the lowering of income tax rates across the board. It was very specific breaks given to benefit very specific Companies. ( Incidentally they were all U.S. owned Companies ). Also, if you read the first para quoted from the article you will see mention of "Billions of Subsidies" that both the E.U and the U.S. gave to their "largest aircraft makers".

No sanitation is required. The exact words in the article were: "In October 2004 Congress approved a corporate tax bill that included $137 Billion in NEW TAX GIVEAWAYS to everyone..." The author threw in the name Boeing as an example of "everyone" (meaning all corporations). The tax code in the US gets changed in some respect every single year. In 2004 there was a tax cut for individuals and corporations, in order to spur economic growth. I challenge you to quote the US tax code that gives specific relief to Boeing that is not available to any other manufacturer. You are grasping at straws.

Mr. Alan, Of course, there would NOT be any direct tax benefit given ONLY to Boeing - BUT as in many cases everywhere, when one particular Company is to be benefited then a wider and more general benefit is proposed so that the so called "principles of free trade " can be upheld. BUT the fact is that Boeing DID get tax benefits from the U.S. Government - and that was the point of debate. Also I refer you once more to the first para of the article regarding the "billions of dollars in subsisies" that both the E.U. and the U.S. gave to their "largest commercial aircraft makers".

I agree with Alan. Boeing does not receive any tax breaks from the government. It receives tax..... errrr....loopholes. I quote from http://www.cfo.com/article.cfm/3236515/c_3236539?f=TodayInFinance_Inside "The study found that 82 companies paid no federal income tax in at least one year during the first three years of the current Bush administration. Indeed, the companies generated so much in the way of excess tax breaks that they received outright federal tax rebates totaling $12.6 billion. In other words, they made more after taxes than before taxes in those no-tax years, the report's authors note. ..... The study also found that 28 companies enjoyed negative federal income tax rates over the entire 2001-03 period. Those with large negative tax rates included Pepco Holdings (–59.6 percent), Prudential Financial (–46.2 percent), ITT Industries (–22.3 percent) and Boeing (–18.8 percent). Half of the $87.1 billion in total tax-breaks over the three years in the companies studied went to just 25 corporations, with each garnering more than $1.5 billion." And now I quote from http://www.prospect.org/web/printfriendly-view.ww?id=8759 " For instance, Boeing's annual report shows that it not only paid no federal income tax, it actually received tax rebates -- i.e., checks from the Treasury -- of more than a billion dollars over the 2001–03 period. Boeing insisted to The Washington Post, however, that we could have computed its tax bill as $1.3 billion had we merely counted $2.3 billion in taxes it didn't pay due to loopholes." The Federal government supporting state tax breaks during WTO negotiations is not a tax break. It is just federal support to the tax break given by others. That is all. Again, Boeing does not receive federal tax breaks as shown above. From this website http://bernie.house.gov/pc/briefs/corpwelfare.doc I quote this: "FSC Repeal and Extraterritorial Income Exclusion Act of 2000” specifically provides huge tax breaks to wealthy companies such as Boeing, GE, Monsanto, RJR Nabisco and other exporters who have been major campaign contributors to both political parties. ..... The new law is a rewrite and expansion of one dating back to the Nixon Administration, which allows corporations to shelter 15 to 30 percent of their export profits from taxes. As reported by Public Campaign, an earlier version of this tax break saved Boeing more than $695 million between 1991 and 1998 – 10% of its net income." I have no clue if that is true. Probably not. Most likely a lie from that website. A lawyer in the house that can confirm that the info above is not true? Please. Thanks.
