First I heard about the hike in bank accounts. I know they keep pestering me about a work permitt to keep mine open, go figure million plus and they want to close it.
In the past there was a law on the books that said if you had a "transient" 30 visa, they could refuse you re entry for 30 days unless you bought a re entry permitt for 500 baht single entry or 1000 baht for a 1 year multible entry. Also the tourist visa 90 day, you had to stay out 2 months. I spend about 20-25000 a year just on the visa runs, probaly 80% of that is not spent in LOS.

You can move to Britain claim asylum and they will give you a house and a cheque and say you don't have to work except in the 'Black' economy.
As an immigrant or asylum seeker:-
You can find a half decent car , get the vendor to sign a form and the local council will buy it for you so you can 'Loook for work'
As a British person who has spent many years paying into the system to can be told to 'f_ck-Off' get a job you don't have enough points even though you are homeless ! This happened to an ex-SAS mate of mine. Puts his life on the line and the answer is f_ck-Off(i.e. wrong colour or nationality)
I will not discuss the rights or wrongs of this situation but it is a 'ticking time-bomb' in the UK society.
The time is ripe for another Oswald Mosely !

When the Brits turn(seemingly takes forever) they turn with a vengeance and wow-betide anybody who has been taking the piss(many have) !
Politicians are dangerous fools and in the end they only have themselves to blame!

Mosely was the leader of the British Nazi party prior to the second world war(1939-1945) or if american (1942-1945).
I agree with the situation in the UK and it is even worse than reported with thousand of so called asylum seekers coming to the UK every week for free houses healthcare etc.
It is no joke that some are treated to free driving leassons mobile phones and sightseeing tours. One council even set up a dedicated doctors surgery for them which UK natonals were excluded from.
Is is amazing that these people supposedly fleeing persecution come via Germany and France crossing most of Europe to get to the safe haven of the UK. Obviously these other countries are not safe.
What is more amazing is that UK government does not exercise the first safe port of call clause and send thier arses back over the channel the same day.
The problem is the left wing loonys in charge of local governement and various charities who keep the doors open. I doubt the situation will change for a long time because of the sheer apathy of the British people though when is does watch out.
As for me Im leaving.

I will never go to Japan again, unless I have a Japanese partner in sin.
While on business there, I tried to do the night-life scene in the red light district in Tokyo. As I walked thru the many alleys with the bars all the Japanese either turned their heads or ran into the bars, you think I had the plague or something.
During the day this behavior was carried over in the shops, I could not even buy anything. I am thinking the shop owners were just shy about their English.
I would have love to bang some of cute skinny Japanese girls, but it did not happen. I would have love to buy some new electronic gadget, but it did not hapen.
Definitely a very closed soceity, makes you appreciate Thailand a little more. The Japanese want to maintain this closeness over here and have a row of bars that are Japanese only. I am told one of the reasons is that they do not hold their liquor well and some turn bright red and they do not want to feel embarassed.
The Thai's are happy to oblige them, at a price. We have a joke among my friends that when the Japanese come into Thailand instread of getting a stamp in their passport they get one on their forehead stating, "I pay double"
To an Asian bros on the board, I would immediately disclaim to any bars or MP's upon entry that you are not Japanese even if your are unless you want to pay double.
That is why all the BG's flock to the Japenese when they enter the bars.

I cannot agree more, when I was given the opportunity by my company to choose between Japan and Singapore, I chose Singapore even though I have several friends that I would love to hang out with. The problem is that I would not be able to hang out in the better bars.
As for the shops, unless you are in the Akabahara of Ginza they gennerally will not pay attention, not because they are rude, it is just that the electronics they have in thier shops do not work in the EU or US. The Akabahara is were you find that stuff.
