Isn't this moot? I mean, considering all the copied CD's I saw for sale (6 for 500 baht)? I should think software duplication would be as prevalent. Anyway, I should think XP would be much more user-friendly for a "people's PC".

Is this the Microsoft World Domination Plan about putting a telescreen in everyone's home to catch the Winston Smith's of the world? I actually interviewed for a job there once, but the recruiter said I "didn't listen". Hey, it was 7 AM and I hadn't had my coffee. Besides, Microsoft doesn't listen either, at least about little trivial things like 'reliability' , 'security', and 'interoperability'.

I applied for a opening at one of the MS branches here in Michigan right after college. They told me my GPA and proffesional experiance was to low for the entry-level posistion. 3.7 GPA? experiance (I'm right out of college idiot). Ohh well found a better job that paid more and I don't touch anything Microsoft. (exept at home)

Mickeysoft lowering prices ... ?!?! ... in Thailand ?!? ... they have to go really low to beat the Thai copies ... this is a weird move for M$ ... they usually increase their prices ... but it's an ok move ... won't have much effect though ... not in Thailand ... Wintendo is ok though ... same same as Linux ... just more people have experience working with Winblows ...

Not really a weird move from Microsoft - market share is everything! They're scared as hell that something like Linux will get widely used. They really rely on the general acceptance that there are no viable alternatives to Windows. Look at their X-box business - been selling them at a loss for several years now. Jim in Az
