Am arriving in BKK on 21 July for a couple of days. An email from a regular BG says her bar in NEP is closed that day because it's Buddha's birthday. She seemed to suggest the closure might also be on 22 July.
Could the BKK locals advise what does close and when? Interested in knowing about the NEP/SC bars, oilys like Barons and legit massage like King & I.

The website is wrong regarding Visaka Bucha....it is May 12th not the 11th.
This Friday, bars should be closed, but then again....maybe not.

The mamasan at Renoir told me last night that they had not yet received their normal preholiday visit with hard copy advice from the police. She thinks they will show up today with the formal closure announcement... but is definitely not sure because it's so late this year.
So plan accordingly?
