Red circle, red diagonal line across it with the words THIEW PHUUYING. Also spotted, same design across the words SEX TOURS. Start of a campaign?...or did some bloke test print a pair and I got lucky and saw them both?

It was not mentioned if these "bumper stickers" were actually stuck on a bumper!!! Perhapse that is why the question was asked "begs the question - where did you se them ?? " to clarify the matter... TC

Since I have been accused of being pedantic, whatever that is, I must address your post above. In the USA, a "fender" is that part of the car that covers the wheels and keeps the mud off the windshield (windscreen) Also in the USA, a "bumper" is that part of a car in the front and back that is designed to make the first contact with any vehicle with which one might bump into, thus the name "bumper". I don't know why they call a "fender" a "fender".

Yurune bro, I saw a great bumper sticker on a bumper of an automobile. Downtown LA, being driven by a caucasion female, early 30's with dirty hair. "If you're going to ride my ass, at least pull my hair." Love it to death.

Because they "fend off" mud, stones, other objects. The term fender pre-dates the automobile by many, many years. It was a general term for protective shielding that at one time was applied to locomotive, streetcars and even ships. It was apparently once a term for what we'd now call a fireplace screen.

The cost to print just a couple of bumper stickers would be rather expensive (per sticker) I'll wager. Aren't the costs for printin' these things all front loaded? So it's likely you'll come across a few more in yer travels. Cheerio PS: Could be wrong but I reckon automobiles pre-date streetcars, locomotives etc. Dunno 'bout ships n' fireplace screens though!

Thanks, Evil: I knew somebody would take the time to Google it and give me an answer. Now I have more useless information filling my even more useless brain. Wanna start a fight with somebody today? Edit it: I just read Brocher's post about Automobiles pre-dating streetcars, locomotives and conestoga wagons and he is WRONG! How about it Mr. Brocher. Wanna fight about which came first...the chicken or the automobile?
